A Poem a Day

During the year 2015 I have chosen to take on a challenge to write a poem everyday. I will try to put them all here everyday.

111. April 21st

A green sheet speckled with yellow ink,

Oilseed rape is starting to grow.

Winter is leaving us and

Summer is starting it has begun.

Buds atop trees on each branch,

Soon to be blossom: white flowers.

Fruit will follow in summer,

The fruit will arrive with the sun.

Days lengthen and the sun stays longer,

Every morning the sun is shining bright.

In the evening the sun is still there,

Surely this is the start of summer.
