Inglewood stared at the documents of the children that were missing, at this rate since they were gone for a few days, they had to be taken away from their father. To him Seth wasn't that right person to look after such kids. even though one of them is already twenty two years of age. He sighed, placed the documents on the table and leaned back into his chair. He too worked in the Government Of Magic, and he didn't want to lose his job because of some silly little kids that weren't looked after properly. He knew that Seth had already figured out what he had planned because he had already called in some of the wizards. Corner was one of the wizards that had gone to Seth's meeting, he was Inglewood's spy of some sort. First he had to try and get the information that Seth had, and then he'd be on the right track. He grabbed the phone and dialed a number, a few rings and then a rough voice answered. "Hello this is Corner speaking".
"Inglewood speaking, I need you to do me a favor please".
"Oh, I don't think i can do any more for you Inglewood, you haven't paid me yet for all the other dirty work".
"I know, but the money's building up, haven't you ever thought about that?"
"I know, but I'm not sure if you're that type that would turn down the offer after everything is done".
Inglewood sighed, Corner had gone through this situation with another wizard before, he was pretty hard to get through. "Alright, i promise, i doubt that's what the other wizard said to you right?" He heard Corner snicker on the other end of the line, "alright Inglewood, what do you want now?"
"Do you think that Seth would be setting another meeting date?"
"Yeah, a few days from now".
"Okay good, because i want you to get as much information as you can from him, i need it so i can find his kids".
"Why can't you get it yourself?"
"Do you want the money?"
The line went silent until Corner answered with a gruff voice, "alright, I'll do it". Inglewood knew that Corner didn't like the idea, Inglewood would never play fair with other wizards. The line went dead, Inglewood hung the phone up with pleasure, he was going to beat Seth. The door to his office swung open, a short looking wizard came into the room, "Frost, what are you doing here?"
"Acting are we?"
"What are you talking about?"
Frost sneered at him, "don't pretend that you have no clue about what I'm talking about, you know well and truly what I'm talking about!" Frost walked over to his desk with long strides, Inglewood steadied himself in his seat, ready to stand up as if Frost was going to pounce on him. "Don't think that you're going to get to the children, you're not going to touch any of them, not while I'm around to look after them!"
"Frost, i think you should sit down and we can talk about it".
"No I'm leaving soon anyway, the kids are well looked after, Seth is going to leave this job and he's going to spend more time with his kids, you're never going to get any of you're information from him, good luck for your spy Corner though". Inglewood tried not the flinch, Frost was tiny but he packed a punch, he was in the way of everything, and if he told Seth, it'll all go down the hill from there. Inglewood stared at Frost, he glared at him with his icy eyes. "You can go now Frost", he said, hearing his voice shake, he saw a smirk creep across the little wizards mouth. He left the room in a blink of an eye. Inglewood buried his face in his hands, how was he going to get around that wizard? He got up and headed out to the hall where more wizards were working to keep the wizard world a secret. This was the company that would go down if his plan was ruined, he knew he had to get Frost out of the way.
