36. What a Night a One Shot

You sluggishly slump through the front entrance of the motel, walking behind Sam and Dean. The three of you have been cooped up in the impala for hours listening to Deans music blasting over the speakers.

You have been working with the boys for what seemed like years, but in reality was only six months. It is pretty crazy what can happen in six months, the things you have learned absolutely blow your mind. You were their ‘official’ researcher, you had gone to college for computer technology and you are able to hack anything.

They have grown to be the best and only friends you have, they won’t let you hunt with them but you feel like you are doing them justice just by helping them with research.

Dean steps up to the old grey haired man at the counter and pulls his wallet out of his back pocket, “Two doubles please.” He hands the man a 50 dollar bill and in return he gives Dean the keys.

You now step up to the counter and place a hand over your mouth as yawn. “One queen please.”

The man gives you a slight frown, “Sorry mam, that was the last room we had.”

You purse your lips and lean forward on the counter, “You’re kidding right?”

He shakes his head, “Fraid’ not.”

You sigh and turn around to face Sam and Dean, “Just great, I’ll sleep in the impala.” You mutter and begin to walk to the door, but the boys block it like a wall.

"You can just stay with us." Dean says looking down at you.

You plant a fake smile on your face, “Sound great! We can make out and cuddle by the fire!” You sarcastically laugh and push past them.

Sam stops you by grabbing your wrist, “Come on. We’re all tired, and are all going to go straight to sleep. Plus, we’d feel a lot better knowing you were in a safe motel room.”  His eyes stare into yours.

You cross your arms over your stomach, “Fine. Thanks I guess.” You follow them towards motel room number 6.

"Of course I’m always up for a little making out." Dean turns back and winks at you.

You let out a small laugh and walk into the grungy motel room, your eyes instantly dart to the beer stained floor. You throw your bag on the ground and place your hands on your hips. “Why. Doesn’t the floor look inviting.” You joke kicking off your shoes and plopping next to your bag.

You unzip it and pull a blanket  from the depths. You instantly feel Deans eyes burn into you.

"You carry around a blanket?" He chuckles pulling back the sheets on the bed

You hold the fleece blanket to your chest and flash him a pair of puppy dog eyes, “You never know when you’re going to get cold.”

The lights turn off and Sam voice booms through the rooms darkness, “You okay down there y/n?” He asks kindly.

You make yourself as comfortable as you can, which is not comfortable at all. You bite your lip trying not to sound like a whiner to Sam, “It’s okay.”

Dean grunts in signal for us two shut up. You pull the blanket up over your shoulders and squirm around on the floor. You try laying flat, on your side, your other side, stomach, you even tried sitting up. No matter what position you were in it is just so uncomfortable. You now turn to face the wall and notice a giant spider crawling up it. You squeal and roll backwards.

"DEAN.SAM." You shout, the spider stops crawling and just sits in the same spot.

The lights turn on and they both jump from their beds, underwear and all. They look around the room, trying to figure out what it is.

"What is it?" Dean asks angrily.

You scoot back so your body is plastered up against Sams bear legs, and you point to the spider on the wall. Dean looks from your hand to the spider.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" He laughs. "A spider? Get up y/n."

Sam helps you to your feet and you grab his large bicep looking to Dean and then back to the spider. “Can you kill it?” You question in a worried tone.

Deans hands you a piece of toilet paper wadded up in a ball, “If you kill it, you can hunt with us.”

"Dean." Sam protests.

"Are you serious?" You ask stepping away from Sam and taking the paper from Dean.

"Sure am." He gives you a slight push forward towards the spider.

You stare at it for a moment and then turn back to Dean, “I can’t do it.”

He shakes his head and takes the toilet paper from you, he now walks towards the spider. He raises the paper to it, but jumps back a bit when the spider moves.

You feel Sam place his hand on the small of your back, comforting you. This hasn’t been a good night. Dean kind of just stands there looking at the spider.

"Dean?" Sam laughs.

Dean turns around with a look of worry on his face, “What if it bites me?”

Sam shakes his head and walks towards the spider smashing it with his bear hand. Dean and I both look to him with our jaws dropped.

"It’s just a spider." Sam explains taking the paper from Dean and wiping his hand off. "Now lets go to sleep." He hops back in bed.

You stare down at your horrible sleeping arrangements on the spider ridden floor. You look Dean hopefully widening your eyes.

He sighs, “Do you want to sleep with me?”

"Yes!" You answer quickly running to his bed.

Your body instantly relaxes as it hits the soft mattress. Deans warmth still lingers on the bed making you cozy. He crawls in beside you and you turn to face him smiling.

"Wanna make out?" He grins largely.

You tilt your head forward and laugh. You scoot closer to him, your lips inches from his and you give him a small peck on the lips. You smirk at him. “Thank you Dean.”
