The moment your head had hit the pillow you were in a deep sleep. The previous day had been a vampire hunt that was a lot more exhausting than you would of preferred. The drive home wasn’t pleasant either, Sam wouldn’t let you ride shot gun, and god forbid Dean let anyone else drive.
Hell, you haven’t driven in so long you might not even remember how. At the end of the day though, the long drives, the tiring work, it’s all worth it. You get to save people, and be with two of the best people you have ever met.
On an even higher note, you get to be with Dean, well not with him, but with him. Dean, he is the love of your life, he doesn’t know and you don’t really want him to find out either. Things are simpler that way.
You lived in the bunker together and that was good enough for you. Except you always found yourself having these terrible nightmares..
You were running quickly through the woods the branches were scratching your arms as you ran past. You tripped over a branch and fell to the ground, but didn’t even let the sharp pain that struck your head get to you. You got back up without looking back. You felt the blood trickle into your eyes but shook it off.
You could hear the footsteps behind you closing in, getting closer and closer. You pushed through, although the pain on your head and the exhaustion wanted nothing more than to possess your body. You have to keep running, running from your father.
But he was quicker, he was stronger than you. He caught up and the next thing you knew he was pushing you to the ground standing over you he held a bloody knife in his hand. The knife he used to kill your mom and brother. His eyes flicked black, the haunting black that ruined your life.
He rolled his neck and smirked while standing above you, “Hey daddy’s girl. I guess we meet again.”
You squirmed but he had you locked in position, “Your not real!” You screamed at the top of your lungs.
It’s like he just didn’t hear you, “Look at this, ” He said staring at the knife with lust in his eyes, “I’ve collected some new blood.” He looked down at you and smiled devilishly, “Sam and Dean Winchesters.”
"NO." You shouted even louder as the tears began to roll down your cheeks, "NO."
"Oh yes, sweetheart." He said in a slow drawl.
You were screaming now, fighting to wake from this horrible dream.
You sprung up and sat up straight in your bed. You looked around double checking to make sure you were in the bunker. You let your head fall into your hands as you cried.
You heard footsteps coming down the hall and didn’t even bother to try and stop crying. The image of your dad was just so vivid, it killed you to see it. Dean and Sam came bursting into the room they had their guns with them and looked ready to kill the next thing that walked in front of them.
"What is it? What is it Y/n?" Dean asked looking wildly around the room, "Are you okay?"
You looked up at both of them the tears falling more rapidly down your cheeks, “It was the dream again.” You said shaking your head.
Both of their facial expressions softened as they sat down their guns and came and sat on either side of you. Sam rested a hand on your knee and Dean pulled you to him so you could rest your head on his shoulder.
"We all have bad dreams Y/n." Sam said, "But what you have to remember is that it’sjust a dream.”
You turned your head and saw that Sam was smiling at you, something you didn’t see him do as often. “Thank you Sam.” You said, giving him a small smile. Dean’s grip was still tight around your waste, his touch was so comforting.
"Do you want to watch a movie or something..?" Sam asks hesitantly while yawning.
You gave a slight chuckle wiping a tear from your eye, “No, it’s okay. Thanks Sam. You can just go back to sleep.”
He nodded, “Just remember I’m a scream away if ya’ need me.” With that he left your room leaving you alone with Dean.
You rested your head back on Dean’s shoulder, “You can leave too if you want.”
"Are you kidding me? I’ve gotten my four hours of sleep, how bout we go watch a little Star Trek." He said smiling lightly at you.
You pulled away from him, “It’s okay Dean, you can go back to sleep. I’ll just watch a movie on my laptop or something.”
"I couldn’t sleep knowing you were in here alone, probably crying over some TV show." He joked pulling you back to him.
You laughed, “You know me too well Dean.” His body was so warm, you couldn’t help but let the though of curling in next to him pass your mind. Oh geeze, let’s hope he’s not a mind reader. You couldn’t deny your feelings for him, but you didn’t want to seem needy.
"Come on, it’ll be better than this." He pulled away and took your hand, "I care about you okay. And I don’t tell many people that. So you either watch Star Trek with the coolest kid in school or you cry alone in your room. Your choice."
You shook your head once more, “Fine.” You felt your problems melting away when he talked to you.
He led you down the hallway and to his bedroom where he plopped down on the bed. You kind of just stood there for a moment before Dean actually patted the bed and looked at you with a ‘just come on' face.
You crawled in and you finally took a risk yourself, you curled up next to Dean and you felt your body instantly relax. You rested your head on his chest and he draped an arm around you. You could hear his heart beating, it was so soothing.
"You know what Dean.. Can I just go back to sleep here?" You asked quietly.
"Go ahead." He said smoothly, "Do whatever you want."
The last thing you heard before you were lulled was, “You’re just so perfect..”
