1. The beginning
Life was normal to start with. Everyone going about their normal life. Until the bomb hit. There was no explosion, no tremendous whoosh of air. Just a bright light like someone had shined a torch in my eyes. And everything was gone. We all lived, strangely, but animal and plant life had been wiped out, like it never existed. Buildings were just smouldering rubble, household objects had been obliterated. From that moment on I knew life would never be the same.
A countrywide report was issued, stating that everyone had to go to their city hall until further notice. On the way, I was heckled by malicious insults. I'd only ever fit in at home. Now that my home was gone, I fit in nowhere. As I walked, I also saw my mums house, once a majestically large mansion, now a pile of burnt wood and brick shards. I heard muffled cries of pain from underneath other piles of house. No one helped them, no one wanted to. I don't understand how humanity came to this, when the world turned technological.
