5. Chapter 5
"Soooo?" I looked over at Michael as we were doing our stretches for gym.
"How was your study sesh with Ashton?"
"Fine. I'm pretty sure I understand everything now."
"Rhiannon." I looked over at Calum, who was giving me an 'oh come on' look.
"We worked on math."
"That's it?" Michael smirked.
"You sure you two didn't get freaky in there all alone?"
"Positive. I've known the guy for less than a week."
"So?" Calum looked genuinely confused.
"So I'm not going to hook up with someone I barely know."
"Well do you at least think he's good looking?"
"Sure, you all are." I shrugged, standing as the teacher was splitting us up into teams.
She put Calum and I on the same team and Michael was sent to the other side of the gym. I laughed at his facial expression as he walked over to his group.
"So you think we're good looking hey?" Calum smirked, nudging me with his elbow.
I laughed and shook my head at him. "You guys aren't too shabby."
"Aw you're so sweet."
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, come on, we need to kick Michael's ass!"
"Rhiannon, could you come down here please?" I groaned and rolled off my bed, making my way to wherever my mom was.
"What's up momma dukes?" I walked into the kitchen to see Michael, Calum, Luke and Ashton sitting at the table. "Oh, hey guys. What are you doing here?"
They all smiled at me and Luke spoke up. "We were just wondering if you'd want to come watch our band practice."
"You guys are in a band?"
"Yep." Michael nodded. "We're called 5 Seconds of Summer. I came up with the name." He sounded very proud.
"I'd love to come watch you guys! When?"
"Is now okay?" I looked at Ashton and smiled.
"Now is great, lemme go grab a hoodie real quick." I ran back up the stairs and heard footsteps following me.
"The one with the curly hair is cute!" My mom gushed as I threw on a hoodie.
I smiled. "I know."
"So are you guys gonna serenade me?" I asked, falling onto the couch in Michael's basement.
"Hell yeah!" Michael yelled. "By the end of the practice, you'll be in love with each of us."
"Alright, on with it then." I motioned for them to play as they began warming up.
"Be prepared to turn to mush." Michael winked as Ashton tapped his drumsticks together.
"So, what did you think?" Luke asked, sitting next to me.
"Are you in love with us yet?" Michael grinned before chugging his whole water bottle.
"Mmm no. I don't think so." I shook my head, laughing at his expression.
"You're telling me that you're not in love with four musicians that just played all of their songs for you and only you?"
"Well, I mean the drums had me swooning a bit." I sent wink Ashton's way as he laughed. "But guitars are overrated."
"Unbelievable." Michael shook his head.
"What about the bass, then?" Calum smirked.
"Oh the bass will be all I can think about for the next week." I held a hand over my heart and laughed while Calum sat up proudly.
"I hate you." Luke muttered.
"Aw, come on pretty boy, don't pout." I pinched his cheek and he slapped my hand away.
"I'll pout as much as I wanna pout."
"Whatever your heart desires Lukey boy." I looked over at the clock and saw that it was almost dinner time. "Anyways, I better be going now."
"Why?" Michael asked.
"Well, since Luke hates me and all, I really have no reason being here."
Luke's eyes widened. "I was kidding! You don't have to leave!"
I laughed at the fact that he thought I was being serious. "I know, but I have to get home for dinner."
"Oh." He sat back, looking a bit embarrassed as we all laughed at him.
"Thanks for inviting me to listen to you guys." I said hugging each of the boys. "I'll see you at school, yeah?"
"Yeah." They all nodded and waved as I walked up the stairs to find the front door.
