18. Chapter 18

 Maria POV

Marisa is a very easy kid. She is nothing Like Matthew. She doesn't really cry unless she is seriously hurt which happens to take a lot. She ran into the wall and the door and it didn't even phase her.

It's been 5 hours since Calum left and it's like 6 in the afternoon. I had already made dinner and we both ate. We bathed and now we are watching Netflix waiting for Cal to get here.

It was 10 o clock and Marisa fell asleep on the couch. Calum walked in a few minutes later when I put Marisa in her bed.

"Where have you been?" I asked.

"Work. We had to stay late and record and I put in some extra time to write some songs and practice." He said and kissed me.

"Wow. Well Marisa is knocked out. Food?" I asked. He shook his head.

"Not hungry Just tired." He said. He walked upstairs and I sat back on the couch watching netflix.

Calum walked into the living room and sat down next to me.

"How was she today?" He asked.

"Surprisingly really good. She a tough little three year old." I smiled.

"Yea I know." He said. "You really shouldn't be sitting her for like 4 hours watching netflix."

"Yes, I know daddy." I laughed.

 "I'd  watch that." He said.

"Yes daddy." I smiled and kissed him. He picked me up and layed me down on the couch.

"Am I still your daddy." He smiled.

"Yes." I said and kissed him then pushed him off of me.

"I should get some sleep. Daddy's orders." I said and walked to the room.

I woke up to Calum shaking me.

"We need to go now." He said.

 "Where?" I asked

"The hospital. Marisa won't wake up but she is has pulse." He said and we ran out and sped to the hospital.

We had been sitting beside Marisa's bed for a few hours when the doctor came in.

"We don't know what caused it but she went into a state of Mental shock. She won't wake up for a few days and we would like to keep her here for monitoring." He said. We nodded and I held onto the little girls hand. The doctor left.

"Why did you name her Marisa?" I asked Calum and stared at her wrist band.

"I didn't name her. The agency did." He said. I nodded and we sat there for hours.
