6. Chapter 5

I just stood there and stared at him, shocked and horrified. What could he possibly be doing here? I swear, if he hurts any of them- "hi there love" he said, interrupting my thoughts. I slowly nodded my head. "This is Wayne, he is the owner of this house, and he is just here to check up." Luke said. "Well, I'll be leaving now. Good day." He said shaking their hands. As he walked towards the door, he smirked and left. "How was Rebecca?" Calum asked, catching me off guard. I gave him a weak smile and got myself a glass of water. As if today couldn't have been better.

I couldn't sleep that night. Everything just felt.......wrong. It's just the way that Stephanie looked at Wayne and her reaction when she saw him. It looked like she knew him and had a bad memory of him. I guessed you could say that she looked, well, scared. And also when Calum asked her about Rebecca, she seemed...distracted. She wasn't usually like this. Ever since we went to Sea Life, she's been really weird.

The next morning I did my usual routine, and went downstairs for breakfast. Luke was making pancakes and the rest of the boys were keeping him company, and not so much helping. I waved as I walked in. The boys smiled and said good-mornings. "So, I'm going to ask you a question, but you don't have to answer it right now. Okay?" Michael said, carefully eyeing me. I nodded my head and motioned for him to continue. "Well I know that you have stopped talking for a while and that you used to be able to talk, but why don't you anymore?" the question caught me a bit off guard. I don't think I was ready to answer that, and I don't think I ever will be if I treasure my life. I looked at Luke, and I have talked to him but I was surprised that he didn't tell them about it. I just shook my head and wrote on a piece of paper my friend, and that's all I will say about that subject I don't really feel comfortable talking about this. Sorry. Michael and the rest of the guys gave me a huge hug and we ate our breakfast.

"Okay! What shall we do today?" Ashton said standing up from the couch we were sitting on, watching TV. We all just looked at him. "I mean, come on guys, it's flippin summer break and we have only two months off! I'm tired of just sitting around and not doing anything! Let's go out, have some fun! I'm sooooooooooooooooo bored!" when we just sat there all looking at each other, he jumped up and said in a very loud voice "GET UP YOU LAZY BUMS AND LETS DO SOMETHING FUN OUTSIDE!" we all laughed and got up to go to our rooms and get changed. We all met down stairs 15 minutes later and left the house. Ashton was driving and Michael called riding shot gun, and so that left Calum, Luke and I in the back all squished together. "Where to?" ash asked. "Movies?" Mikey suggested. Everyone agreed and we were off to the movies. Luke checked his phone to see what movies were playing today. "Well, there is The Expendables 3, Lucy, and Mocking Jay Part1 playing in 30 minutes, so that gives us some time to play in the arcade and get our food. So what movie shall it be?" I held up the number 3 with my fingers. "Mocking Jay?" Luke asked and I nodded my head. "Guys, what do you think?" he asked and everyone agreed. "Mocking Jay it is!" Cal said as Ash sped a bit up.

After the movie, we went for lunch and ice cream and we went back home. Luke and I decided to go for a run around the neighborhood. As we were running, we saw a dog run towards us. We slowed down and when it got to us we stopped and looked around for its owner. "Hey! Sorry that's my dog!" A man ran towards us and as he got closer I gasped in shock. He was back again. "Oh! Its you two again! Hi! Sorry... His... Leash... Slipped... Out... Of... My... Hand." He said panting. "Oh! Hi! Um yeah, here you are, you have a very nice dog!" Luke said shaking his hand. "Thanks!" he asked looking at Luke then at me. "well, we do have a band practice soon and we've been told that we're pretty good, so would you like to come and see for yourself and give us your feedback?" Luke asked. I looked at him in shock. I knew what would happen. "Really? Yes. Yes of course, it would be my pleasure!" he said smirking at me. "Well, I have to go. I'll catch you later mate!" "K, bye!" Luke said as the guy walked away. I shook my head and started running. I guess that Luke could tell that I was pissed off and came running after me. "Steph, what? What's wrong?" I just ignored him and kept on running. "Steph, answer me. What's up?" he said grabbing my arm and turned me around. "What's wrong Stephanie?" he asked. I pointed to where we had the conversation with the guy. Let's just call him The Reminder. "What about him?" Luke asked. I pulled out my note pad and wrote

Why did you invite him to your practice?

When he read it he replied, "I already said, to get his feedback. Why is that such a bad thing?"

I just don't like that guy. We don't even know who he is! He could be dangerous!

"How would he be dangerous? You don't know him, you can't say that about him! And plus, what harm can he do? And why don't you like him? Have you met him before?" that caught me a bit off guard. I wrote,

No! No of course I don't know him! How would I know him? It's just something about him that gives me a bad feeling. That's all. But all I'm saying is that we don't know him and he can't be trusted.

"Well, how do we know whether or not he can be trusted if we don't give him a chance?"

I roll my eyes and start to walk away. Oh boy, this is not gonna be good.
