A N D I E ' S P O V:
I wake up to an unusually cold bed. Snugged up in Luke's pajamas and blankets, I move my foot over to his side of the bed. He's not there. I glare over at the clock, it's 9:30 a.m.
I hear sizzling coming from the kitchen. I slump myself out of bed, still groggy, and walk out of Luke's room to the kitchen. I see Luke, shirtless, standing next to the stove cooking pancakes and bacon.
I slowly walk up to him, not making a sound.
"You know you should be wearing a shirt." I say without warning.
"Jesus Andie! Are you trying to kill me?" Luke said while turning towards me and putting a hand over his chest.
"Sorry, I had to get you back for leaving me in an empty bed this morning! Plus that bacon grease could splatter on you, and it will hurt." I say.
"Sorry babe, I wanted to make you breakfast before the trial today." Luke said to me, making me frown.
"Ugh, I forgot about that!" I said.
"Hey, we're going to be fine! We're innocent. We're just going down to court to explain what happened." Luke said to me, making me feel better.
Luke puts pancakes and bacon on two plates, then sets them down on the kitchen island. I sit down on the stool under the island and Luke hands me some maple syrup. I pour the thick sweetness on my pancakes then pass it back to Luke. Luke then pours an excessive amount on his pancakes, making me giggle.
"What?" He asked with a smirk.
"Nothing!" I said, still giggling.
After we ate, Luke took both of our plates and set them in the sink.
"Thank you for breakfast, Lukey! I say while scrunching up my nose.
"Anything for you, beautiful!" Luke said to me before placing a kiss on my lips.
"We better call the guys and make sure they're up getting ready." I say while i turn towards Luke's room to grab my phone.
As I turn my phone on, my phone is blown up with missed calls and unread text messages. Mostly from my mom and Calum. Calum always blows up my phone to make me mad. It never works.
I then realized I forgot to text my mom when I was leaving Luke's. I quickly dialed her number and waited for her to pick up.
"Hello?" I heard her say from the other end.
"Mom! I'm so sorry, I forgot to text you last night! I 'accidentally' fell asleep at Luke's!" I say in a rushed tone.
"It's fine, Luke texted me from his phone telling me you fell asleep on the couch last night." She said.
"Why didn't you tell him to wake me up?" I asked.
"Because you haven't been sleeping well lately. And you always seem to sleep better over there." She said.
"Okay, thanks mom." I say while smiling.
"Don't forget the trial is at 2 o'clock today!" she said.
"How could I forget." I say in a bummed tone.
Shortly after we said our goodbyes, Luke was standing in the doorway with his hands in his sweatpants pockets.
All I could do was smile out of the gesture Luke made.
"Thanks for texting my mom for me." I say as I walk over to him.
"I knew your mom would've been worried." Luke said as he took his hands out of his pockets to hug me.
I walk into his arms and rest my head on his bare chest.
"Did you call the guys?" I asked while looking up at him.
"Yeah, they just woke up." Luke told me.
"This trial has me so stressed out! If we lose we could go to jail, Luke!" I say as I get that feeling in your throat when your trying not to cry.
"For what? We didn't do anything! All of that stuff you, Michael, and I did was for self defense!" Luke said to me.
"I guess." I say still upset.
"We're innocent. He harassed you, and we helped you!" Luke said.
"No you didn't," I say while Luke furrows is eyebrows in confusion. "You saved me."
Luke smiled, picked me up and spun me around. As our laughs connected, so did our lips.
