I walked to the balcony opening the door as I felt the overwhelming blow of breeze. I sat on the fence as I watched the beautiful view of the ocean sparkling and binding up reflecting it with the blue sky above. I want to explore the ocean someday, it's all that I've wanted ever since I was a little child. But I guess my dream will never come true, unless, I will completely be tended.
But when? Nobody knows my case, even modern doctors or specialists. All of them had given up on me. No one tried.
I sighed trying to feel the heave of my disappointed heart. I am so weak that even my family had given up on my case and locked me in this square. I'm like an animal in a box. But I was glad that I have Cheshire with me. She may be a cat, but she understood what is it to be like me. We both crave freedom, we both want to walk to a real earth where there are rocks, mud, plants, trees, and people. Where I could pick a real fresh fruit, and where I could find friends, and love maybe.
Never did I dreamed being lock in my room and wait till I die. All along this isn't what I really wanted.
Cheshire meowed at me. I looked at her as she jumped up on my lap. She was so adorable, I don't know what will I do if I lose such a pretty. I petted her soft silky fur. She was my weakness...
I went off the fence and laid my back on my bed. Cheshire joined and laid herself beside me. I was looking up at the chandelier like a star that I want to reach. That's right! I want to reach it! I quickly stood up at the bed and stretched my arms high as I could. I really want to reach that chandelier when I was young, even thought of putting my things together, but I still failed. However, I'm tall now. But... Why couldn't I reach it? It's still so high and it makes me feel small.
While doing my best to reach the high chandelier, I heard footsteps beside the wall on my bed. I was sure that it was mother and father so I fixed myself and lay down. If I didn't, and they caught me standing there, I'd probably might meet my mother's scolding. They were chatting at the hallway out of my room so I could hear it clearly too.
"The family of Villarez had been convincing me to engage Alicia to his son." I heard father spoke.
"Then that's great. Villarez had been our partner for a long time now. And we both know that his son could take care of Alicia." Mother said.
"Yes, maybe we could also expand the our wealth." Father responded.
Wait a minute, did I just heard expand?
