When I was on my way to my detention, I met Potter on his way to Professor Dumbledore again. I wondered what he was up to, but I knew I couldn't just ask him either. It started to really bother me, having so many questions, and almost all of them were really none of my business. My curiosity will probably be the end of me. I arrived Professor Snape's office and were all set for my detention. On a desk I saw a pile of what looked like herbs and three bowls. “Sort out the three different herbs, and put each herb in it's own bowl. No magic allowed, and I suspect you'll be done by the first class” Snape noticed my arrival and didn't delay me any seconds. I looked at him with an expression of 'what the heck'. “What are you waiting for ms.Weather?” His voice was cold, calm like it usually was, but I found it extremely cruel at this point. I sat down and tried to sort out the different herbs, I don't want to get late for my first class, it was already bad that I missed breakfast.
After classes I went back to the hospital wing, hoping Thomas was awake. When I got there, I saw Thomas all well and awake. I ran towards him and hugged him tightly. Finally, I was worried and didn't really stand my days without him. “Woah, missed me much eh?” Thomas voice was light and tired, he stroke a hand over my back and I sat up. “You have no idea what it's been without you” I said with a tiny smile on my face, I was sincerely happy at this moment. “What has happen? While I was sleeping” He asked out of curiosity. “Um, I got a lot of punishment, had my detention early this morning, I honestly haven't talked much to Evan, but I know he's been here mostly of the time” When I mentioned Evan, Thomas' face brightened up as he just became alive. “Cool” was the words escaping his mouth, I didn't know what was really going on, but there was something. None of my business I guess.
Madame Pomfrey walked up to us, and as she signed a few documents she informed us what she thought might be the cause. “Mr. Zograf. As I don't know what happen, and I didn't quite figure what went wrong, I conclude that this outbreak is not physical. Therefore it has to be stress, I will deliver this document to Professor Albus Dumbledore telling that you are unable to do any assignment for at least a week.” Thomas' jaw dropped, school was everything to him, assignment was entertainment. I could see he was not happy about this outcome, but I believed it was for the best, for now. “With that said, you are free to go” Madame Pomfrey smiled kindly to both of us before walking back to her 'office'. Thomas got out of the hospital bed, quite happy about his freedom from this room, but thoughtful. “No more hospitals, Laura” He said to me with a worried expression on his face. “Al right, no more hospitals” I smiled comfortably back to him, and we left the hospital wing, for now.
We walked past where the Room of Requirement hid, I looked back and wondered how the cabinet was now. “Thomas, if you will excuse me, can we meet back at the common room later?” I asked innocently. Thomas nods “Sure”, I smiled and he continued walking towards the common room. I quickly went up to the wall, and asked for the room. But this time, the door was slow. I wondered why, but I simply walked quickly and quietly inside the room as I didn't want anyone to know I was here. I walked up to the cabinet and when I reached it, I felt a wand at my neck. I couldn't hear much, but the wand was real. “Why don't you mind your own business, ms.Weather?” I recognized his voice. It was cold, sneering and yet afraid. I had to come up with a response quick as I knew Draco Malfoy had no patience when it came to this.
“I was, Mr. Malfoy” I replied, not really thinking that through I also added “But you fascinate me”. I turned around as I no longer felt the wand, I saw into his beautiful grey eyes not minding his wand was still drawned at me. I glance at him with a cold and challenging look, and I see him flinch, mentally fighting himself. He has to be, with that expression on his face. I try to come up with something clever to say, but my mind is not cooperating with me. It didn't seem like Malfoy had something clever to say, or do, since he now put his wand back into his pocket leaving me completely free. “What have you done with it?” Malfoy finally spoke and nodded against the cabinet, and I knew I had to lie. “I've just watched it, it's a beautiful piece of art. It's a shame it's broken” I turned my face from the cabinet to face him, Malfoy was troubled with something, but I didn't comment that at this moment.
He sat himself down on a chair, he looked drained, all empty. I took a chair and sat beside him “You want to talk?” I asked politely, not expecting any answers. Draco sat still, as I expected, he didn't answer me. I started talking “You know, when I was a little kid, I used to spend a lot of my time with my grandmother. Who always reminded me about how bad muggles and muggleborns were. Even though I didn't understand, she just kept talking about how I should always be with the pure-bloods.” Draco looked at me, slightly confused about this story. But I kept on going “She was a really great witch. She was a passive supporter of the Dark Lord, and one day she got a visitor while I was there. She asked me to go to my room and stay there. I was obedient, so I obviously did as she told me.” He was still confused. I continued. “My mum and dad picked me up a few days later, I was still in my room and had been since my nan told me to. My parents was very upset that day, and later they told me that my grandmother was gone.” His eyes sadden, but I didn't stop. “Up until this day, I still don't know who killed her.”
Malfoy was insecure, and I guessed it was because of my story. “I remember the visitor, he is one of the Death Eaters, so my guesses are that he killed my grandmother.” Draco got pale, he was getting afraid. I went on “I decided to put my loyalty in the ministry, as they seemed legit" I paused for a second "And this summer, my parents got arrested by the ministry for helping the Dark Lord. It was only suspicions, but anyhow, I couldn't really count on the ministry any more. My loyalty lays with none at this point.” He got his natural colour back and seemed a bit interested in what I told him. “I have never told this to anyone, there's been no one to trust.” He looked back up at me, with confusion in his eyes. “I trust you, Draco Malfoy.” I assured him, I had now told him basically anything worth knowing about me in hope of this building trust. I wanted him to trust me, because he can.
