We had been sitting in the Room of Requirement for a while now, not getting anywhere really. Draco still haven't said a word, and I thought about something else I could tell him. Finally he spoke “I can't trust you” I turned to face him, looking at his face turned straight forward. “That's al right, but know that I am someone you can talk to” He shakes his head at my words and repeated himself “I can't trust you”. I remembered an old riddle the knocker had given me “If I have it, I don't share it. If I share it, I don't have it” Malfoy faced me with an confused expression and before he had a chance to say anything I opened my mouth again “It's a secret” I assured him. He seemed to get troubled again “What it is?” I tried asking. “You can't trust me” his answer was sincere from his point of view, however, from my point of view this was ridiculous. “I decide who I put my trust in” I felt pleased with my answer and gave him a sincere smile.
But that was completely wrong. He stood up “You don't understand” he shouted. “Explain to me, please” I begged. He shakes his head “He'll kill me” he was whispering, sat down on the chair again. He was tearing up. He was right, I didn't understand but I wanted to. I tried to get some contact with him but he ignored it easily. I knew I had to admit “You're right, I don't understand. But I want to, I really do” my voice was sincere and I hoped he noticed. He pulled himself together, stood up and then he left. I knew he had no evil heart, but a lot of pressure around him. Had this something to do with his family? Did he have the responsibility for his father? Malfoy was scared, you don't have to be a genius to understand that, did you? I took a glance at the cabinet and decided to leave.
I had reached the stairs when I heard some noise from behind me. I turned around to see what this was all about. And my sight shocked me. I saw Thomas getting beaten up by some other students, I rushed down to the fight to break it up. “Stop it” I shouted, but no one listened. I pressed myself between the boys, receiving a great punch to my tummy. I gasped for air and I saw the boy as shocked as I was. “Leave us alone” I simply said between my breaths. How couldn't the teachers see this? Notice this? The group of students went up the stairs, Thomas and I were now alone. “Sorry, I started this” Thomas looked up at me when he spoke. I gathered some air and replied “Why?” I sat up trying to pull him together, he was bleeding from his mouth and nose, and I used my sweater to clean up the worst. “We have to get you to the hospital wing” I worried, why was Thomas so strange? What happened? I pulled him onto his feet, he moans in pain. “No more hospitals, remember?” I was a bit shocked at his words, this wasn't right. “You should have thought about that before you went into that fight, Thomas” I was now really worried.
Thomas had to spent the night at the hospital wing again, he needed some space so I gave him that space by leaving him alone. I was walking back to my common room when I heard another discussion. I saw a black figure dragging around a blonde haired boy. I turned to see it was Malfoy and Professor Snape. Why was Professor Snape dragging Draco Malfoy like that? I walked after them, I didn't think that through. I saw Professor Snape slamming Draco to the wall, he was obviously unhappy with something and the first thought that came to my head was; He's going to kill him. I couldn't let that happen so I rushed over shouting the only words coming to my mind “What's going on?”. Both Professor Snape and Draco Malfoy turned to face me, both sort of surprised. “It's none of your business” Malfoy shouted back. “Well now it is” I simply told them both. Professor Snape let go of Malfoy and took a step my way “Detention, ms.Weather for shouting in the hallway. 8 a.m. Tomorrow at my office.” I couldn't believe him, detention for shouting in the hallway, I guess Professor Snape must be mad at me. “Ms.Weather, leave us before I have to give you a detention for interrupting a private tutoring.” Oh yeah right, as if that was going on. I gave them a last glance before I turned and walked away, hearing them walking further away from me as well.
The thought of Professor Snape killing Malfoy slowly faded as I knew for a fact, Professor Snape wasn't that kind of a man. He was unfair, but not a murder. The knocker seemed to have a new riddle for me “I'm sometimes white, and always wrong. I can make a smile, but more often bring a frown. What am I?” I glanced at the knocker who just gave me something to think about and I gave my answer “A lie”.
