I pulled away quickly, and just stared into his eyes. "I'm sorry." I said. "For what? Kissing me? You shouldn't be sorry. You did nothing wrong." James replied. "I know, but, I shouldn't have." I said. "I guess I just missed kissing someone." I said. "So did I. Ever since we broke up, I couldn't let go. I fell apart." He said. I laughed. "I dated Luke." I said. He laughed. "Did you really?" He asked. I nodded, "worst decision I've ever made." I said. He laughed. "Get some rest Vi. I'll be here in the morning," he said. I nodded.
I heard Violet and James's conversation. How dating me was a bad decision. Really? We didn't even date. Okay, we slept in a bed together, and I might have kissed her, but we didn't date.
"Hey." I said, walking into her room. She turned her head away from me. "So, was it really that bad of a decision?" I asked. She looked at me. She opened her mouth, but I cut her off. "Don't even say anything." I said, getting up. "Luke." She said. "Don't Violet. Just... Have fun with the enemy." I said.
I can't believe this! James isn't the enemy anymore! Luke is just jealous. But he has Chloe now, so they can have an amazing life together.
The heart monitor started beeping fast again, and I started to close my eyes. "I'm sorry." I said to Luke. No answer. Shocking. I said it over and over again.
I saw a woman come in, she had a white outfit on. "Violet, you're gonna be okay, just stay with us." She said. She went over to my side, and did something. She put a mask on my face, and I started breathing better. "You're better now." She said, stroking my hair. Eventually, I fell asleep.
"This is all your sons fault." Someone said. "My son!? He did nothing wrong!" Someone yelled. "He came in here! He did something to her! And that caused this!" She yelled. I slightly opened my eyes, and saw mom and Mr. Hemmings.
"You and I both know why this is happening Andrew." She said. "It's because everything is falling apart. Nothing is going the way it's supposed to." She said. "Like, when I had my first boyfriend. I was what, like seventeen? This happened. This exact thing happened Andrew. We got into a fight Andrew. That's what happened with Luke and her." She said. "So, it's automatically Luke's fault." He said.
"You know I'm not one to quit, but if this is going to keep on happening, I have no choice but to get her out of this." She said. "Jack, you can't do that. Locking her up isn't the right way to handle this." He said. "It is if I have no other choice. I can't let her get hurt every time she sees Luke." She said. "I'll talk to him. Get him to realize what is gonna happen. And we will see what he does. But jack, just remember, once a savior, always a savior. You know that. You know she will find a way out of that place." He said. "I know. That's exactly why I need to do it." She said. "Just wait until I talk to Luke before you do anything." He said.
"Lucas. Come here please." Dad said. I walked down the stairs, with Chloe. "Chloe, you can go upstairs." He said. "Dad." I said. "Luke, this is important." He said. "I'll be there in a minute." I said.
"Luke, are you aware of what happened after you left the hospital?" He asked. "No? Why?" I asked. "She had to get a mask to breathe. She couldn't breathe on her own." He said. "Don you know why?" He asked. I shook my head. "Because of what you said to her. Because you are getting serious with Chloe." He said.
"Ms. Damon is thinking about putting her somewhere. Taking her out of this." He said. "Where?" I asked. "Somewhere safer." He said.
The door opened, and Ms. Damon walked in. "You think you can keep this game up?" She asked. I looked at her confused. "You think you can just hurt Violet whenever you want?!?" She yelled. I looked down. "You just want her to be apart of your game?! You want to see her get hurt?! Locked up?!?" She yelled. I shook my head. "Let me tell you something, Lucas, she is this close to getting put away! Somewhere safe!" She yelled.
"Jack." Dad said. "Andrew, he needs to know." She said. "Know what?" I asked. "Violet is getting put somewhere. Somewhere safe." Dad said. "What. Why?" I asked. "Luke, she almost died today. Because of you." Dad said. I looked at him. "I can't let her get hurt anymore." She said. "She can't get hurt anymore. She's hurting. She can't get hurt. Not now. Not ever. Not with everything going on." She said. "So you're just gonna take her away?!" I yelled. "I have no choice. But once a savior. Always a savior. She will find her way out. And you will save her." She said. "When are you taking her?" I asked. "Tonight." She said.
"Come on honey." Mom said. "W-where?" I asked. "Away." She replied, grabbing my hand, and running out the window. "Mom where are we going?" I asked. "I want you to listen to me." She said. "I'm keeping you safe." She said, walking down a manhole.
"Where are we?" I asked. "Somewhere safe." She replied. She opened up a door, that led us into a big room, with blue walls, and computers everywhere. "Wow." I said. "I'll be staying here with you." She said. I smiled.
"Why are we here mom?" I asked. "I told you. I'm keeping you safe." She said. "From what?" I asked. "getting hurt. By Luke." She said. "This place is better than home. Who ever thought a manhole would be better than a room." I said. She laughed.
