27. Chapter Twenty Six

Violets POV

"How's the song coming on?" Mum asked. "Good, so far. I think. I mean, no one is here to help me with the lyrics, but I think I can finish it." I replied. "How long have you been working on that?" She asked. "About... Maybe four months?" I replied, unsure. She nodded. "Can't wait to hear it." She said.

Luke's POV

"Hey." Violets voice said. "Hey, how you feeling?" I asked. "Better. Mums been making me stay in bed. I told her I wasn't sick, but she won't let me get up." She said. "That's your mum." I said. "I've been working on a song. Remember the song from a while ago? Well, I finished it." She said. "That's great. I can't wait to hear it." I replied.

Luke's POV

"Mum, I'm going out." I said. "Uh, and where?" She asked. "Out with friends?" I replied. "Luke, please, your father is coming home from seeing Violet, and he wants to speak to you, please wait until he comes home." She said. I sighed, but nodded.

About an hour later, my dad walks in the house. "Lucas, follow me." He says. I smile, get up, and follow him. "So tell me, have you heard about a savior, getting lied to?" He asked. I shook my head. "Well, son, Chloe, your so called girlfriend, is a liar. She does not have the gift. Nor has she ever." He said.

After an hour of walking, and talking, he brought up a subject. "Have you heard violets song?" He asked. "No, is it good?" I asked. "Very. It's called Tomorrow Never Dies." He says. "Sounds good." I said. He nodded. "She is singing it at the big show at your school tomorrow." He said. My eyes got wide. "Wow. She's going to school?" I asked. He nodded.

"Hi, I'm Violet Carson. Um, and this is a song called, Tomorrow Never Dies. I wrote this song by experiences in my life, so it's a personal song. Yeah." Violet said into the microphone. The music started playing, and all I could think of was how stupid I was for all the times I blamed her for everything.

Life can be so hard to breathe
When you're trapped inside a box
You're waiting for a break to come
 It always comes too late

Well, I know what that's about.

You're on the edge just stumbling
And the road it starts to wind
But every time a page is turned
A chance to make it right

She's talking about us.

 Oh the sun will rise
 Like a flame ignites
We're not done till we say it's over
 We won't fade away
 Oh the sun will rise
 Tomorrow never dies
 (Tomorrow never dies)

She's saying no matter what she or anyone else does, there's always tomorrow to make up.

It's hard to see the enemy
 When you're looking at yourself
 Maybe your reflection shows you
 Screaming out for help

She's talking about when I blamed her for all those things. All she saw was herself as the enemy. Like it was her fault.

And you try your best to just keep up
And your feet they fall behind
But the beat you're marching to
 You're keeping perfect time

She's talking about all those times we thought we were a step ahead, but we where really a step behind.

 Oh the sun will rise
 Like a flame ignites
We're not done till we say it's over
 We won't fade away
 Oh the sun will rise
 Tomorrow never dies

Try your best to change your fate
You can just enjoy the ride
The sun will rise, the moon will fall
 Tomorrow never dies
 (It never dies)

She's talking about all those times I've changed everything. The rough time we had. But no matter what, there's always tomorrow.

 Oh the sun will rise
(The sun will rise the sun will rise)
 Like a flame ignites
(A flame ignites a flame ignites)
We're not done till we say it's over
 We won't fade away
 Oh the sun will rise
 Tomorrow never dies
 Tomorrow never dies
 Tomorrow never dies

At the end, the whole school stood up, clapping, and cheering. "Thank you." She said. She walked off the stage. I smiled, she was completely amazing at singing. I couldn't stop smiling. She was amazing. She's beautiful, talented, and loving. I love her so much.
