11. Chapter Ten

Violet's POV

"Dad, this is Chloe Woods. Chloe, this is my dad." I said. "Woods, your mother is-" "Annabelle Woods." She said. "Great honor to meet the daughter of Annabelle." He said. Kiss up.

"We have everything ready for you to train, and you will go to school like Violet and Luke. And if anyone asks who you are, you are Violet's cousin." Dad said. She nodded.

"You want a water?" I asked. "No thanks." She replied. I grabbed a bottle of water, and sat down at the table.

"So, Violet, does Luke have a girlfriend?" She asked. I spit my water out. "Woah. You okay?" She asked. "Yea. Fine." I replied. "So does he?" She asked. "Um. I don't think so." I replied. Why did you say that! "I wanted to see if he wanted to go out for coffee, or something." She replied. "Luke? He's a busy person. Between school, his band, and training, he barely has time to go out." I replied.

"Hey, Vi, wanna go out to that club?" Luke asked as he walked in. "Barely any time huh." Chloe said. Luke looked at us confused.

"Luke, Chloe wanted to know, if you had a girlfriend." I said. "I don't have one. Why?" He replied. "Well, I was wondering if you wanted to go out sometime? For coffee or something." Chloe replied. "Sure." He replied.

"Why don't you two talk, I'll leave you two alone." I said getting up. "Stay." Luke's voice said. "No. I don't need to hear this." I replied. He rolled his eyes. "I'm going to your house." I said. "Okay. My mom is home." He replied.

"Violet? What are you doing here?" Mrs. Hemmings asked. "Oh, Luke is talking to Chloe, so, I decided to come here." I replied. "I know that face. What's wrong." She said. I sat down.

"Everyone knows how much I like Luke. Even people who don't know me. And now that Chloe is here, it's like, he's gonna forget about me, and probably date Chloe." I replied. "Violet, you and Luke will always be friends, no matter who it what gets in the way. You know it was meant to be." She replied. "But what if it's not. We are supposed to be these big saviors, but honestly, I don't see it. I'm barely even powerful." I replied. "Don't say that. Your mother knew how powerful you were when you were born." She replied. I sighed.

Luke walked into the door with Chloe following him. He looked at me, and smiled. "What?" I asked. "Nothing." He replied. "Can we go now?" Luke asked. "Fine." I replied. "I call shotgun!" Chloe yelled. "Of course you do." I mumbled quietly, but it was loud enough where Luke heard it, because he turned around.

"Vi, do you wanna go out to eat before we go?" Luke asked. "I don't care. I'm not really hungry." I replied. I rolled up my sleeves. "Woah! Violet! You got a tattoo!" Chloe yelled. "When? Why? How?" She asked. "A few days ago. And the other ones, I'm not gonna explain." I replied.

When we pulled into the parking lot to the restaurant we were eating at, Luke opened the door for Chloe, leaving me in the back. "Gee thanks. I'll get myself out." I said. "Oh right sorry vi." Luke replied, opening my door. "Don't. I don't need help." I said. He looked at me.

"Excuse me." Chloe said, getting up. "What's wrong." Luke said. "Oh. So now you care." I snapped. "I always cared." Luke replied. "You did before your girlfriend showed up." I replied. "That's what this is about." Luke said.

"Alright, I'm back." Chloe said. "We see that." I mumbled. Luke kicked me from under the table. "Be nice." He said. I sighed.

"So Chloe-" "Luke, I think you look good in that shirt." Chloe said, cutting me off. "Oh thanks." He replied. "Oh! Luke we have-" "Can we go out dancing tonight?" Chloe said, cutting me off again. "That's where we are gonna go after this. What were you saying Vi." Luke replied. "We have to go to training-" "Guess what!" Chloe said, once again cutting me off. "Okay, you know what. Goodbye." I said, getting up.

My face was beat red. "Vi, wait." Luke said. He followed me out the restaurant. "What Luke!" I yelled, getting even angrier. "Why are you acting this way? You're so... Jealous." He said.

"I'm not jealous Luke. I'm pissed!" I yelled, clenching my fists. "Why?" He asked. "Because! You know how much I like you! Everyone knows! We are best friends Luke! Your mom said you wouldn't forget about me, but you are." I said, tears falling down my face. "I could never forget about you." He said. "Take a look Luke. You are. Now I know how my mom felt when your dad left her." I said, walking away.

"Mrs. Hemmings!" I yelled banging on the door. She opened the door, and saw me crying. "Honey. What happened." She asked, bringing me inside.

"Luke forgot about me. H-he-" "shhh. It's okay. It's okay." She said, hugging me. "Why don't you go up to Luke's room, and sleep. I'll call your dad, and tell him you're here." She said. I nodded. "You know where Luke's clothes are, take one of his shirts." She said I nodded. "But what about training?" I asked. "Violet, honey. You're a teenager. You still need to do teenager things. Like this." She said.

I walked into his room, and opened it too drawer, taking out a shirt. I took my off, and put on his. I got under the covers in his bed, and in about five minutes, I drifted to sleep.

Luke's POV

"I should get you home." I said to Chloe. She nodded. "Where's Violet?" She asked. I shrugged. "Probably at her house." I replied. She nodded.

"Hi. Mr. Carson. Is Violet here? She ran off today." I said. "Shes at your house." He replied, taking Chloe inside. I smiled, and walked to my house.

"Lucas Robert Hemmings." Mom said. "It's not passed my curfew." I said, putting my hands up in defense. "Do you know what you did to Violet." She said. I shook my head. "She came here, crying. Saying how you forgot about her." She said.

"Where is she?" I asked. "Shes sleeping upstairs. I want you to go talk to her. Not using your gift. Actually talk. See the damage you've done. I won't be surprised if she starts again Luke." Mom said. I sighed.

"Vi." I said walking into my room. Violet was sound asleep in my bed, tucked under the covers, with tear stains on her cheeks, and little marks on my pillow, where her tears fell.

"Vi." I said waking her. She woke up. "Sorry." She said, and she got up. "No, no. Stay. It's fine." I replied. "I'll go." She replied. "Please stay." I said. "Luke, I really don't wanna see-" "I know, but would you rather go home to see Chloe?" I asked. She sighed, and got back into my bed.

I laid next to her, and wrapped my arm around her waist. "I'm sorry." I said. "I shouldn't have forgot about you." I said.

She turned around. We were in kissing distance. "I don't mind that you date her Luke. But, you can't forget about me." She replied. "I don't wanna date her." I replied. "You don't?" She asked. "Violet-" "wow, this must be important." She said laughing. I laughed. "Violet, I don't want to date her, because I like someone else." I said. She looked down. I picked her chin up, "and shes sitting right in front of me." I said. She smiled. I kissed her. I actually kissed her. She smiled.

"Now, go back to sleep." I said. She giggled. "I don't think I can." She replied. I brought her into my chest, and held her there. I kissed the top of her head, and she drifted to sleep. Not long after, I fell asleep.
