I had gone home at 10:30, Lily dropped me off at my flat before going home to her own place. I sighed as I shut the front door and dropped my bag on the floor. I was exhausted - and hungover.
I slept for most of the day on the sofa, before I woke up to my phone chiming. I lazily picked it up and unlocked it, swiping the screen to reveal the text:
Harry Styles: 'hey cara, was wondering if u wanted to meet at starbucks on thurs? 12:00? H x'
I smiled before replying to the text.
Cara: 'Hi Harry, would love to meet up, see you then! Cara xo'
It was 11pm now so I decided to give up on dinner and head straight to bed. I got into my pyjamas and crawled into bed, turning out the lamp on my bedside table. I lay there for a second in the dark, wondering how this had happened. I was a nobody, an intern working at Topshop that got lucky going to that party last night. How am now going to meet Harry Styles..THE Harry Styles for a coffee?!
I was nervous but excited as I closed my eyes. I couldn't help but think of next week.
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP. Thursday morning.
I groaned as I accidentally pushed my phone on the floor. I picked it up, turning off the annoying alarm that woke me up. I almost forgot for a minute what I was doing that day. The clock said it was 10:02, so I had 2 hours to get ready and get myself to Starbucks in time. I had a shower and washed my hair, leaving it to towel dry for a bit whilst I did my makeup. I blow dried the wet ends and then lightly curled it before putting on my clothes and grabbing my bag, checking I had my phone, keys and money.
I walked down the street, as Starbucks wasn't a long walk for me, only about 15 minutes. As I was walking, a snooty looking lady in a business suit stared me down rudely from the other side of the road. I stared back for a minute before looking away. What was her problem?
I entered Starbucks and ordered myself a caramel hot chocolate before sitting down in a comfy sofa booth. Harry wasn't here yet, and I was already nervous that he wasn't going to show up. Before I could overthink anymore, I saw a curly haired figure quickly approach my booth, with his hood up and wearing dark clothes. "Hey" Harry grinned as he took his hood down, looking suspiciously around him. "Sorry, don't want to be seen when i'm trying to have a nice time out with you" He smiled, waiting for me to say something. "Oh yeah, I suppose you get seen a lot!"I said stupidly. "Yeah, I actually haven't been out in ages like this" He told me.
Harry had spoken to soon, as a flash of a camera startled both of us. "For fucks sake" Harry muttered under his breath as he attempted to turn away from the paparazzi. "Sorry Harry, I didn't realise.." I started to apologise. "Don't be silly, I asked you out remember?" he winked, still trying to ignore the paps. It started to get a bit much and Harry could see I was feeling anxious. "Wanna get out of here? Come to mine?" He whispered. I nodded as he grabbed my hand, both of us making a swift exit, ignoring all of the cameras and jumping into Harry's black landrover.
