4. Messed up
"Who was that?" asked my dad. "Just a friend." I replied. My dad was reading the newspaper. "And did he look like this?" He asked; showing me an article out of the newspaper. Fuck, the fight at the party was in the newspaper with a picture of Zayn and James. "Susan, is that him?" My dad almost yelled while pointing at the picture. I nodded, not knowing what to say. "I don't want you to hang around with him anymore." My dad said calm. "But dad..." "You don't hang around with him anymore. Am I clear?" My dad yelled. I ran to my room and let myself fall on my bed. Many tears escaped, but I didn't stop them. My Phone buzzed and I looked at it. Zayn called me, but I pressed the red button. He kept on calling me so I put my Phone off. Ten minutes later, something hit my window. I looked up and saw Zayn hanging there. I opened my window and let him in. "Have you lost your mind?" I say as I close my door. "Why are you ignoring me?" He asked like nothing happened. "Oh, I don't know. Maybe because you're in the fucking newspaper and my dad doesn't want me to hang around with you anymore!" I whispered angry. Zayn just sighed. "You know what? You're right. Maybe we should just go back to our old lives because that is clearly what you want." He said with tears in his eyes. He left my room via the window, out of my life. I sat down in the corner of my room, my arms around my knee and started to cry. Why is my life so messed up? Luckily, my dad had to go to Europe for a week, so I could give myself some rest.
I've read the article in the newspaper and I felt sorry for Zayn, but even more for Susan. Zayn told me and the lads what happened between them and I decided to visit Susan. I drove the car and 10 minutes later, I rang the doorbell. "Niall? What are you doing here?" "Can I come in?" I asked. "Yeah, sure." She said as she let me in. "Take a seat." Susan said; pointing at the couch. "Are you alright?" I asked; Susan looked down. "I think so." "I've heard what happened between you and Zayn." "Oh, I see..." That was all Susan said. "I think you need some distraction. There's a fair in London. Would you like to join me?" I asked her. "Yes, sure." On the metro, we listened to the music on Susan's Phone. She has a good taste of music. There was this stand where you could shoot with a hunter's gun at small balloons. I took a fiew shots, but I missed 5 of 15. To my surprise, Susan hit them all. "Wow, you're good in this." "Thanks." Susan said smiling. As a price, she choose a cute teddy bear. We had lots of fun together. After a fiew hours, I drove her homme. "Thanks Niall. It was really fun." "Yeah, it was." She hugged me and went inside. I went home.
