13. District 5-Kenya

I still remember her laugh-short and sweet. Her hair-blonde turning brown. She could shoot arrows, and fish. Dorsey. The name like soft music. She was relocated to District 8. Power wasn't right for her, I guess. But I believe there's something more. Something they've been keeping quiet. I believe there was a rebellion. We hear legends of "The Hunger Games", which influenced The Dying Games. President Snow ran things around there. Now we have a new president- President Hail. I know, I know, Pres. Snow, Pres. Hail, what's next, Pres. Sleet?! But seriously.

Dorsey was my bff. Fun, kind, faithful, the whole package. We were here, together, in 5, until she was relocated. I still remember the day she was relocated- two years ago.

"Kenya! Please! Make them go away! Make them leave!" Dorsey ran to me, sobbing. I was shocked.

"Dorsey, what happened?! Are you okay?" I held her in my arms. Was she hurt?

"M-my f-father!" She broke into tears. "He was... at the bar one night and..." She wailed.

"Shhhh... calm down!" I soothed her.

"He was hanging with his mates when the subject of..." She whispered. "'The Hunger Games' came up. I gasped. Forbidden talk.

"he told them all he knew when a Peacekeeper walked in. He told my father to follow him. That's when my father got started, Oh Kenya,. you know he had anger issues!" That's right... OMG.

"My father yelled,'These people deserve to know what happened!' Then h-he...knocked the Peacekeeper out cold!" Dorsey's sobs echoed through the alleyway.

"Dorsey! What was his punishment?" I breathed.

She gasped. "Death."

"No!" I exclaimed, not daring to believe it.

"Y-yes." She wailed. "And my family has to move to District 4!"
That's when the Peacekeepers came over and dragged her and her family (minus her dad) into a white van.

"Kenya!" she called and pounded on the window, tears streaming down her face.

"Dorsey! No!" I chased the van to the gates of District 5 and watched as she rode out of my life.
