We all sat around the table in the dining hall. Whatever food was salvaged was on the table, although it served no purpose since nobody wanted to touch it. I sat beside Merida for precautions, Jack sat beside me and the rest of the Guardians were scattered. Kristoff took Anna to her room so she could calm down, her wedding was ruined after all.
“Alright, damage control.” North began.
“You need to tell us everything you know about what happened tonight; who those people were, what they want, and what they are capable of doing.” Bunny ordered, more specifically to Jack.
“One of them was Hans.” I spoke up. “He’s a prince of the Southern Isles and he tried to kill me when I had my… breakdown.”
“Is he dangerous?” Bunny asked.
“Well considering that he tried to slice Elsa up and he actually conducted this act, I’m going to say yeah he is.” Jack answered.
“Okay, who was that woman?” North asked.
“That’s Gothel,” Rapunzel said. “She kidnapped me for years and used my hair to keep her young… well when it was long, blond and smothered in magic.”
“Her danger scale?” North asked.
“She stabbed me to which I almost died and tried to keep Rapunzel as her prisoner.” Eugene bluntly said. “She’s dangerous.”
“That just leaves that bear.”
“His name is Mor’du.” Merida stated. “He’s dangerous.”
“Care to explain?” Tooth encouraged.
“He ate my father’s leg, killed several of my kingdom’s soldiers, almost killed me and my mother and most likely killed his entire family prior to all of this.” she said. “Trust me when I say he’s dangerous.”
“Okay, so that’s only three enemies. We can work with that.” North said.
“Actually Hans mentioned that he had more ‘friends’. So there’s probably more coming here.” Anna interjected as she stepped into the room with Kristoff behind her. Her eyes were still buggy and red, but thankfully she wasn’t crying anymore.
“Wait, where’s Cue?” she asked.
“Perimeter checks with Julian and their kids.” Bunny said.
“Is that such a good idea?” Tooth doubted.
“Well at least we have someone out there.” Jack defended.
“Besides, her kids are probably more skilled at me in combat.” I sighed.
North pinched the bridge of his nose, probably out of frustration.
“Okay, so we have no idea how many people we are up against.” he concluded.
“But we do know what they’re after.” I said. “They want my throne, my kingdom. They want Arendelle.”
“So we have to pull what we did last time right?” Anna suggested.
“We barely made it through that and we were only against one person.” Jack said.
“But that was Pitch, he won’t be involved here.... right?” she asked. I opened my mouth to answer but stopped myself. I actually didn’t know if he was coming back, but if he was terror is definitely at our doorstep.
I looked to Jack. He had the same expression as me, meaning he was thinking the same thing.
“We better not guarantee that.” he said.
“Wait, wait, whose Pitch?” Rapunzel asked.
“Didn’t we already tell you? Pitch Black, or the Boogeyman. He attacked us last time and we beat him.” I explained.
“We can do it again.” Jack interrupted me. I glanced at Jack, did he really just say that? These are different circumstances now.
“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves Jack.” North said before anything else could be said. “Right now we need to focus on who we do know we have to face.” He looked more to me, Merida and Rapunzel.
“You three need to tell us how you beat them last time. Maybe we can conjure up a plan to stop this battle before it happens.”
“Battle?” I questioned. “Who said anything about a battle?”
“Elsa, look around.” Rapunzel said. “This meeting wouldn’t be happening unless there was going to be a battle.”
“There’s not going to be one.” North spoke up. “We’re going to stop it before it happens.”
“We don’t even know what we’re up against.” I said.
“We will.” Jack tried to calm me down.
“Excuse me, am I interrupting?” someone said at the entrance. We all looked and saw one of our butlers standing at the entrance.
“Not at all Lowl.” I answered remembering that he couldn’t see any of the Guardians.
“I just came to inform you, our guards were searching in the forest as you requested. They have come across a man, they think you should take a look. He’s in the dungeon if you wish to do so.”
“Thank you very much Lowl.” he bowed and walked away.
“Do you think it’s anyone from tonight?” Merida asked.
“Just incase, be armed.” I said as I got up from my seat.
“I’ll go with you.” Jack said.
“Okay, and Merida you come too.” I invited. “Anna, tell North everything you know about Hans, Rapunzel-”
“Give background on Gothel, I got it. Go.” she urged. I nodded and the three of us made our way to the dungeon to see who the guards brought back.
“Has he given any information?” I asked the guard.
“None madame. We found him wandering in the woods like a madman, unfortunately one of the guards had to knock him unconscious due to difficulties cooperating.” He replied. He led us to the cell at the end of the hallway.
The guard opened the door to the cell. Inside there was a boy, laying on the floor, clearly unconscious. He was relatively skinny, had longer brown hair and… one real leg.
“Do you know him?” Merida asked.
“No… do you?” I asked.
“Never seen him before.” she replied.
“Well what do we do with him?” Jack asked.
“Do what most people do to wake others up. Pour water on him.” I suggested. I stopped to think where I would have gotten that idea, then I remembered who I’m in love with.
Merida obtained a bucket from the guards who was kind enough to fill it with water.
“Should it be colder?” Jack asked. I’m pretty sure my face scrunched into annoyance or else he wouldn’t have shrugged and held his hands up in defence. “Just to make sure he wakes up.”
“It’s fine.” I said before we could find ways to torture this guy even more. I looked to Merida and nodded for her to go for it. She slowly poured the water on the guys face, and when the little amount she did wasn’t enough she dumped the rest of the bucket on him. That surely woke him up.
“Whoa!” he coughed as he sat up. He looked up at us in confusion.
“Normally it’s not two girls that wake me up like that.” he said.
“Actually that’s two girls and a guy.” I stated. “You just don’t see him.”
“Two girls and one seems to be crazy.” the boy restated. I looked to Jack and he knew what to do. He took the bucket from Merida and waved it around the boy’s face.
“Find a way to believe in Jack Frost.” I said as I put my hand on Jack’s shoulder. He smiled as he used the same tactic we used to get Anna to believe in him, scoop me up and fly me around the small space.
“Y-you’re flying.” the boy stuttered.
“Just believe.” Merida encouraged as she gestured for him to look at me and Jack. It took a few laps around the cell for him, but he eventually saw Jack.
“Oh the guy with silver hair.”
“There you go.” I cheered and Jack finally set me down. I used him for stability as I rode out the dizziness.
“Before we actually start asking you stuff, what’s your name?” Jack asked.
“My name’s Hiccup.” he answered. “And I’m a viking with a-” he stopped himself as he realized something.
“Toothless.” he gasped and started to get to his feet.
We all stared at him as if he was crazy.
“You’re not toothless.” Merida remarked.
“I know I’m not toothless.” he snickered. “I’m talking about my dragon.”
I looked at Jack hoping that he would have some sort of explanation, but he looked just as confused as I was.
“Dragon?” I questioned. The boy really was a madman like they had informed us.
“Yes. He’s a Night Fury, black, part of his tail is missing, he’s got big green eyes and he’s toothless… sometimes.” he explained. I think from our three facial expressions he realized that we weren’t buying or registering anything he was saying.
“Where am I?” he finally asked.
“You’re in Arendelle.” I answered. Now his face conjured up confusion.
“I have literally never heard of that name, ever.” Hiccup began to panic. “Look, can you just point me to the direction of Berk so I can get out of here.”
“You are literally making no sense.” Jack stated. “Are you okay? Did the guards hit you in the head too hard and now you’re in Coo-Coo Land?” At the mention of the knockout, Hiccup raised his hand to feel for the spot at the back of his head. He wince when he touched it.
“You know what, just come with us.” I said. “We’ll tend to your injury, let you rest, then maybe we can get some explanations.”
“What? We can’t bring him into the castle.” Jack argued.
“Well, we’re clearly not getting anywhere here so we might as well.” I defended. “Besides, he needs to dry off.” I began to walk out of the cell and everyone soon followed.
“So, castle? Are you like royalty or something?” Hiccup asked.
“Something like that.” I laughed. “I’m Elsa, Queen of Arendelle.” Hiccup’s eyes went wide as if he realized he had done something embarrassing. “The girl with red hair is Merida, Princess of DunBroch. And if we haven’t said it before, the one in blue is Jack Frost.” Right when I said his name, I felt Jack wrap one of his arms around my waist. I saw Hiccup look up when he saw that action.
As we got closer to the castle Hiccup looked around in fascination.
“This is where you live?” he practically gasped.
“It’s not like I really have a choice.” I mumbled. In the corner of my eye I thought I saw Jack’s face twitch, but when I looked it was nothing.
“I’ve never seen structures like this.” he said with astonishment.
“Wow, you really aren’t from here are you?” Jack questioned.
“Considering the fact that I haven’t seen a single dragon yet, yes I am not from here.” Hiccup said as he was still observing the architecture of the castle.
“You’re telling us that the world you’re from has dragons everywhere?” Merida snorted. “As in these enormous creatures that can fly and breath fire.”
“Some can set themselves on fire, others can spit out boiling water, there’s even one in particular than can spit out ice.” he added. Jack and I looked at each other and pretty much thought of the same thing.
“We need you to speak with some people.” I said. I looked to Jack.
“Grand Pabbie?” he asked.
“Yes please. I’ll round up the other guardians if they’re not in the hall already.” Without another word Jack flew off to search for the troll. When the three of us entered the hall Rapunzel was still giving some information on Gothel… I think.
“So if you sing your hair glows and it keeps people who touch it young?” North asked.
“Not anymore, but when it was long it used to. Now I don’t know how to control it.” she explained.
“You still have this power?” Tooth said.
“The only way we know for sure she can use it is through her tears.” Eugene explained. “That’s how she brought me back.”
“She probably should have saved her tear.” Bunny teased. Eugene shot him a glare but that faded when everyone realized we had walked back into the room with a new person.
“So?” North asked.
“I think you need to speak with him.” I said as I pulled out a chair for Hiccup. Hesitantly, he took it but still had a look of confusion in his eyes.
“Who were you talking to?” he whispered to me. That’s when I realized he couldn’t see the other guardians in the room. He could only see Punzie, Eugene, Anna and Kristoff.
“Hang on.” Merida spoke up. “Here, drink this.” She offered him a vial with some dark blue liquid inside. Hiccup took it and sloshed it around in his hand.
“Something North gave me to help me see everything.” she explained.
“North?” he questioned.
“Just drink. Trust us, you’ll see everything.” she encouraged. Hiccup uncapped the vial and just drank what was in the bottle. I could tell he forced himself to do it as if he probably thought he was in a dream. When he swallowed, looked back around the room and we laughed as his eyes widened.
“Wow I’m really not in Berk anymore.” he gasped. I noticed that North’s eyes widened as the words escaped his mouth.
“North? What’s wrong?” I asked him.
“I think I know what we’re dealing with here.” he said with a look that said ‘no that’s impossible.’
“What’s going on?” jack asked as he walked into the room with a few trolls rolling in with him.
“We are dealing with Universal Summoning.” North said. Fear entered Grand Pabbie’s eyes as he realized what could go down.
“What does that mean?” Anna asked as nobody else dared to answer the question. North and Grand Pabbie looked at each other before answering the question.
“The last time a Universal Summoning took place, everyone in those worlds died.”
