I just realised that the prologue has nothing to do with this situation at all.
But I just wanna tell you guys that the prologue isn't Brittney and this guy ((;
Damn I just basically gave the main idea of this story away didn't i hah whoops
I arrived at the bench at 11:58. I sat down, waiting for him to arrive. 11:59 was such an odd time. Why not just say 12:00, or 11:55? But he was different from everyone else, so I couldn’t really blame him.
Suddenly, I saw a happy boy come skipping towards me. I grinned, standing up.
“Helloo there Brittney, dear,” he said happily, pulling me in for a hug.
“Hello there,” I said, laughing.
“I’m so glad you agreed to arrive at 11:59,” he said, smiling a toothy smile.
“Of course I did. I want to meet you, after all,” I said, causing him to cheer.
“But why 11:59? Why such an accurate time?” I asked, confused.
“But why not,” he asked, wriggling his eyebrows.
I shrugged, not knowing how to answer that. “So we’ll meet each other every day, at 11:59?” I asked, causing him to nod quickly.
“Yes yes, every day,” he said, grinning.
“I can’t meet you at that time tomorrow, I have to do something,” I said, causing his shoulders to slump.
“Oh,” he said quietly.
“But we can do another time? I get back home at around 3, so maybe 4pm tomorrow?” I asked, causing his eyes to widen.
“I can’t meet up at any time other than 11:59 up to 12:59,” he said quietly, causing me to frown at him, confused.
“What, why such specific times? And you can only meet up at those times EVERY day?” I asked, shocked.
“yeah,” he said quietly.
“But, but why,” I asked, completely confused.
“I can’t tell you,” he said sadly, as my shoulders slumped.
“Oh. Well then, I’ll see you in 2 days then?” I asked, starting to walk away.
“Wait,” he said, causing me to turn around again.
“I might be able to come here at 7:14pm,” he said, causing me to raise my eyebrows.
“7:14?” I asked, as he nodded, a desperate look in his eyes.
“You know, if you can’t make it, you don’t have to force yourself,” I said gently. He shook his head quickly, tears starting to form in his eyes.
“No no no, I need to see you every day. It’s too lonely there,” he whimpered. “I’ll go insane again.”
“It’s too lonely there? What are you talking about?” I asked, opening my arms up for a hug. Seeing him in this vulnerable state made my heart break.
He instantly went into my arms, burying his head into my shoulder.
“Just tell me you’ll come out here at 7:14 tomorrow, please?” he asked, raising his head up to look at me. A desperate look was in his eyes, begging for me to say yes.
“Of course I will,” I cooed, smiling slightly at him.
“Thankyou so much,” he said happily, twirling me around.
“Oops, gotta go now, don’t wanna be late,” he said, grinning at me. I grinned back, happy to see him back to his old bubbly self.
“See you tomorrow Brittney, 7:14, don’t be late,” he said, running off in the other direction.
This whole thing just got a whole lot weirder.
I'M SORRY THIS CHAPTER IS REALLY SHORT.
BUT HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE ((;
