The taxi ride was long and quiet. I felt so bad for her. Her heart was broken in two and as much as I think I like her and know that it's to early for her to get into another relationship with anyone, let alone the guy she met 12 hours ago in an elevator. She had stopped crying now and had her head rested on my shoulder as we pulled up at a house. We got out of the taxi and before she could I pulled some money out of my pocket and gave it to the driver.
"Keep the change" I said smiling at him.
As we were walking up to the door another taxi pulled up and a girl who looked very similar to Belle but slightly older hopped out. She was wearing a tight dress and looked very hungover. As Belle turned to look at her she ran off the veranda and onto the side of the road. Leaving me standing there like an idiot.
"Emilie!!" She yelled wrapping her arms around her.
"Hey babe" Emilie replied.
As she pulled away from Belle she looked up at me and her jaw dropped. She had a confused look on her face and whispered something to Belle which made her look at me and laugh, then whisper something back. Girls. They walked back up to the veranda and Belle smirked at me.
"This is Emilie. She's my best friend. " Belle sounded proud. As if there was nothing better than having Emilie as her best friend. I liked that.
"Hey Emilie. I'm Calum." I smiled at her and put out my hand waiting for her to shake it but she never did. She just stood there and blankly stared at me.
"Hey Calum" Belle stood in front, pretending to be Emilie and shook my hand.
Emilie was shaken out of her little world and stepped in front of us to open the door.
"Err Calum you can come in. My parents aren't coming back until tomorrow" Emilie said only just managing to get the words out which made me laugh.
"Um thanks but I should probably head back" I replied with a smile. "Gotta get ready for a show" I said winking at Belle.
They both let out a loud groan and I looked at them confused.
"We don't get to go!" They both sighed in unison
"Well I can get u tickets if you really want to come and watch a crappy band."
"Nah it's not that...her parents said no. So now I can't go either." Belle said looking down at her feet.
It's so cute when she does that. How she doesn't have the confidence, she's so innocent. I was pulled out of my thoughts by Emilie's loud gasp.
"My parents don't get back until tomorrow and your meant to be staying at my house tonight anyway. So..." She trailed off.
Yes. I really hope they get to come. If they don't I might not get to see Belle again.
