Parsley's Poem of the Day

HELLO! Welcome to my not-so-brand-new poetry collection! I will publish a new poem on here every day (all being well) for your enjoyment! If you want me to feature one of your poems don't hesitate to ask, otherwise they will all originate from the darkest depths of my mind. Thanks to @SnowyWriter. for the idea! If there's a poem you particularly like or dislike, let me know so I know what type of poem you prefer. Enjoy! All poems ©Parsavagely 2014 - 2016 (excluding 'featured' poems)

Desperate Souls [Part 2]

"There's nothing we can do for you."
That's it.
Confront your mortality.
Then just lie back and let yourself slip away.
Stare at the ceiling.
Wait for a visit.
Visits that get less and less frequent.
As everyone you love tries to get used to not being around you anymore.
Watch as the bags under their eyes get more defined.
Listen to their tired voices and tears.
Just lie there.
In fear.
In awful, lonely fear.
And wait.
Wait.
.
Wait.
.
.
Then.
.
.
.
Just.
.
.
.
.
Slip.
.
.
.
.

Away.
