Parsley's Poem of the Day

HELLO! Welcome to my not-so-brand-new poetry collection! I will publish a new poem on here every day (all being well) for your enjoyment! If you want me to feature one of your poems don't hesitate to ask, otherwise they will all originate from the darkest depths of my mind. Thanks to @SnowyWriter. for the idea! If there's a poem you particularly like or dislike, let me know so I know what type of poem you prefer. Enjoy! All poems ©Parsavagely 2014 - 2016 (excluding 'featured' poems)

I'm the same

The same eyes

The same heart

You see someone else

Someone weaker than you

Or stronger for a moment

But definitely not the same

Those scars were me not you

That scowl lives on my mouth

It is mine, a body that is broken

It's my face that hides behind

A mask I cannot afford to lose

It's my eyes crying

I live in your hell

Not yours, mine

My hell, where

My mind bakes

My head burns

My lungs choke

My legs crumble

My blood boils to

Replace your own

But you know that's

A lie concocted by

My stupid mind

In the vain hope

That eventually I

Will stop myself

From hurting you

Because to cause

Another pain is too

Much for me to deal

With, but to harm myself takes

So little thought, it scares us

Both of us know how messed up

We truly are, but there's nothing

Either of us can do, except hope

That someone else can show us

How to change how we live our

Meaningless lives that leave

So much room to improve

We created

You, to be me

But did it work?

Of course!
