I'm tried. I need sleep but if baby doesn't sleep, I don't sleep. I'm letting Eve recover from the labour. She's been really ill since we got home, but every time I tell her to go to the doctor, she just gets mad at me. I figured I should just probably call a doctor to the house.
"Shh, baby, shh." I whisper to Aofie as I take her out of her crib and down stairs. I put her bottle in the warmer and bounced her around a little bit while I waited for it to warm up. I grabbed it out of the warmer and shook it up again, walking into the living room and sitting on the couch. I snuggled her into my arm as I fed her, leaning into the back of the couch and sighed of relief.
I was struggling, not going to lie, I don't know how single women do it plus work. I called and asked for almost two months off, thanking the lord that my boss was a decent boss, an understanding one too. He's even paying me for the two months I'm out, his wife had a baby a few months ago so he said he understood.
I took the empty bottle out of her mouth and replaced it with the soother. I giggled at the curl that always sits on her forehead. She had a lot of hair for such a small baby. She was only three weeks old and already had a full head of dark brown curls. Gets it from her mum.
I was just about asleep until I was awoken by a scream, causing me to jump to my feet, waking the baby. "Oh shit, no no no, don't cry!" I tried to calm Aofie.
"Niall!" Eve's voice jolted through my ears like electricity.
I ran upstairs and put Aofie in her crib before running across the hall to our bedroom. "What?" I asked her, breathing heavy and feeling light headed. I need sleep. She was standing by the foot on the bed in her underwear and my shirt. Her fingers held the end of the shirt like she was trying to hide something. I stared at her, and it wasn't until I scanned her body that I noticed her legs full of blood. My heart started racing as I seen the blood on the bed. I swallowed, "that's a lot of blood."
"Niall, help me..." She sobbed.
" okay okay, you go shower. I'll throw the sheets in the washer, get Aofie ready and we'll go to the hospital." I rushed out, hands running threw my hair. I didn't know what to do, could I even drive with this lack of sleep? Eve ran off to the bathroom and I started cleaning the sheets as best I could, I almost past out.
I grabbed Aofie and got her dressed, pulling a shirt over my head as I was already wearing sweats and didn't really care. I bent down and started to buckle Aofie into her carrier, I could feel the sweat starting to form in my forehead from being so stressed out. She's lost blood here and there at the first of the recovery, we were told it was normal but this is not normal. "Niall." I heard Eve from behind me.
"Hmm?" I said.
"I don't feel good."
"I know darling, that's why we're going to the doctor." I licked my lips as I struggled with the buckle. I jumped up on my feet when I heard a thud behind me. I turned and seen Eve laying on her back. "Oh my god." Was this happening? I pulled my phone out and dialed 911, panicking and trying to hold eve on her side in case she threw up.
"911, what's your emergency?"
"My girlfriend fainted, she's lost a lot of blood." I seethed as I starred at her body in my arms. And que the baby screams. "Oh my god." I almost whined as I turned around on the floor, Eve's head on my lap as I grabbed the carrier and made silent faces at Aofie while explaining my address to the lady on the phone.
"Sir, is that a baby?" She asked.
"Mhm, yeah." I said and tried to put her soother in her mouth but she just wasn't having it.
"Three weeks." I said with the soother between my teeth as I tried to do something with both girls. "Hurry please!" I said and there was a knock at the door. "Come in!" The paramedics walked upstairs with a stretcher and asked me her information while taking her blood pressure and temperature.
"Three weeks." I gulped and starred at Eve who was being lifted on to the stretcher.
"Has she been loosening blood?" He asked.
"Not like that!" I almost screamed. I picked Aofie up in her carrier and followed the men outside, they put a blanket over Eve and I strapped Aofie into her seat. I jumped in the drivers side and tried to keep up with their sirens, but I ended up at the hospital with the baby carrier on my arm asking for my girlfriend.
I walked down the halls and almost got run over by the bed she was on. I stood there starring as the doctors wheeled her down the hallway, IV's attached to her arms and an oxygen mask on her face and beeps coming from a monitor.
I sighed and sat down on the bench in the hallway. I put Aofie's carrier on the floor and turned her to face me, she's asleep and I like it that way. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket, I didn't recognize the number but answered it anyway. "Hello?"
"Niall? Is this Niall?" It was a women's voice. Sounded familiar, but I'm not too sure who. She sounded almost relieved that I answered, causing me sit forward, elbows on my knees.
"Who's asking?" I said with a little bit of a snarky voice.
She clearly her throat. "You had a baby?"
"Who is this?" I was started to get mad.
"Your mother." She said, almost in an upset, regretful way. "Jax, he said that you have a baby now."
"Do you think this is some kind of joke? I watched my mother and father both get Buried."
"Just your father." She gulped.
"You're dead?" I said to her. She's dead, I watched her die? How is she calling me?
SHORT CHAPTER, blah blah blah. I'm sorry it sucks!! I love you all 💗😈 (p.s Aofie, is pronounced, ee-fa.)
