"Bye mom, bye dad," I said, giving them both a hug.
"Bye sweetheart," my mom said.
"Remember, we will be back in two weeks," my dad said.
"Okay, dad. I'm going to pack my things and head over to Charlotte's in a little bit," I explained.
"Alright, sounds good," he answered.
"See you later," I said, as they walked out the door. I closed the door as soon as they drove off. I walked upstairs into my room and started packing my things. I packed five outfits, grabbed my toothbrush, and my hair and makeup products I would need.
About ten minutes later I was ready and started heading to Charlotte's. I had decided to go to the long way. I had taken out my phone and texted Charlotte.
Me: hey, I'm on my way to your house. My parents already left and they wanted to say thank you for letting me stay.
I had gotten a reply two minutes later.
Charlotte: tell them that it was no problem at all, and I'll see you soon. :)
I had put my phone in my pocket and continued walking. I had passed the park that me and Luke had our first date at last Friday.
I stopped and looked over there. I could see a bunch of little kids playing on the park; the swings we swung on, and the slides we slid down.
Luke is the best boyfriend ever!
I had walked up to Charlotte's front door and rang the doorbell. A few moments later the door had opened.
"Hey, come on in," Charlotte's mom greeted. She closed the door behind me.
"Thanks for having me here, Mrs. Johnson," I said, smiling.
"Anytime! Also, please feel free in calling me Susan," she said. I nodded.
I went to put down my suitcase until a pair of tiny arms wrapped around me. I looked down and saw that it was Charlotte's 2 year old little brother, Jake.
"Hey, Jakey," I greeted, laughing.
"Hi, Sophia," he said, smiling.
He put his hands in the air, signalling that I pick him up. I ended up picking him up. "How are you," I asked him.
"Good," he responded. He was pretty smart for his age.
"Tickle monster," he yelled, and then started tickling me everywhere. I started laughing and tickling him back. He started laughing so hard.
"Stop, stop, I'm going to pee my pants," he said. I stopped and started laughing.
"I win," I said. He nodded.
"Hey Soph," Charlotte said.
"Oh hey, Charlotte," I responded.
"Having fun with my brother, eh," she asked.
I looked at him and he looked at me.
"Yeah," I said tickling him. He started laughing again.
I stopped and he said, "I missed you."
"Aww, I missed you too, Jake," I answered. He was so cute!
I had set him down and he stood next to me.
"So where should I put my stuff," I asked Charlotte.
"Oh, give it to me. I'll take it to your room," she said.
"I get my own room," I asked shocked.
"Yeah, there's an extra room upstairs," she responded.
We both headed upstairs and towards the guest room, where I was staying.
"Here it is," she said, turning on the light.
"Thanks, Charlotte," I said. I started unpacking my suitcase and putting them in the drawer that was in the guest room.
After I was done, I went into Charlotte's room. "So, what do you want to do," she asked me.
"You want to play pool," I asked her.
We walked downstairs and as I racked the balls, Charlotte had turned on the radio and played her music. She had started with Blank Space by Taylor Swift.
"Oh my gosh, I love this song," I exclaimed.
"Nice to meet you
Where you been?
I could show you incredible things"
I continued singing along and Charlotte chimed in too.
"I'm really bad at pool, so don't judge," Charlotte said, laughing.
"I won't. I'm not even that good either," I responded, shooting the ball and making another go into the middle pocket.
"What do you mean you're 'not good'," Charlotte exclaimed, "you just made a shot!"
I laughed. "Beginner's luck?"
"Beginner's luck my ass," she said, causing me to laugh.
She had went and had moved the balls but didn't score.
We just played pool all night and listened to music too. It was all One Direction songs too. Charlotte and I were obsessed with them!
