I had woken up and realized that I was in a hospital bed.
"What's going on," I asked myself.
I could see a bunch of doctors outside talking to Charlotte and her mom, I could see Jake just sitting on a chair, he looked upset.
"Mommy, is Sophia going to die," Jake asked my mom.
I looked at her and she answered with, "no sweetie, she's going to be okay." He smiled and went back to sit on the chair.
"How long until we can see her," my mom asked the doctor.
"Once she's stable, you can be able to see her," the doctor said, looking through a bunch of papers on his clipboard.
"Thank you," my mom said. We walked back to chairs and she sat down on the chair. I stood up pacing back and forth, thinking that something bad has happened to Sophia and I just let it happen. I felt that it was my fault.
"Honey, sit down. She's going to be okay," my mom had said.
"What if she's not," I said, "I don't want to see her hurt." Tears started running down my cheeks.
"It's okay, she is fine. She's going to wake up soon," my mom said, hugging me.
I could see Charlotte crying and her mom was comforting her. A nurse had soon walked in.
"Ah, glad to see you're awake," she said, writing something on the paper attached to her clipboard.
"How long was I out," I asked.
"About a day and a half," she answered, "you're okay though."
She took me off one of the machines and I sat up a little. I felt a little pain in my side.
"Careful, you had taken quite a nasty fall down some stairs causing you to bruise your side," the nurse said.
I simply nodded.
About a while later, Charlotte and her family had rushed in to my room and towards me.
"Sophia, I'm so glad you're okay," Charlotte said.
"What happened," I asked.
"Well you fell down the stairs and passed out," Charlotte answered.
"But you're okay now, honey," her mom said.
"Great, can I go home," I asked.
"Not now, sweetie," Susan answered.
I looked at her confusedly.
"Why not, I'm fine, right," I asked.
"Yeah, but," her mom started, "Charlotte can I have a moment with Sophia alone?"
"Yeah mom," Charlotte said, taking herself and her brother outside.
"What is it," I asked.
She took my hand and said, "honey, you're pregnant."
