"So, what did you get for Ashley?" Luke asked, as he sat on my bed, with the others. "I got her a necklace, and a matching bracelet. A ring-" "a ring?" Mike asked. "Not an engagement ring. Just a ring." I said. "Oh. Okay." Luke said, sounding upset.
"Mommy! Look at what Henry gave me!" Jaclyn yelled, running up to me. "Wow. That's beautiful." I said. "Mommy can you come play with us?" She asked. "Honey, daddy's gonna be here soon. I need to-" "please mommy." She said. "Alright." I said. She jumped up, and took me by my hand.
"I'm gonna get you!" I yelled, running after Henry and Jaclyn. "Henry's it!" I yelled, running away. "Hey! That's not fair!" Henry yelled.
Henry Clay. He's my age. We go to school together, well, ever since we were younger. "Henry come on!" I yelled, pulling on his hand. "Run jack!" I yelled. She nodded, and ran. I laughed.
"I wanna play." Someone said. I turned around. "Ashton!" I yelled, running to him, and hugging him tightly. "I missed you." He said, kissing me. "Daddy!" Jackie yelled, running to Ashton. "Lady bug!" He yelled.
"So, you must be Ashton." Henry said. "Yea, and you are?" Ashton replied. "Henry. Clay. Henry clay." He said. "He's a friend babe." I said. Ashton nodded.
"Hey jack, why don't we get a Christmas tree tonight?" I asked. Her smile got wide. "Yay!" She yelled. "Well, let's go!" I yelled, picking her up.
"I have to tell you something." I said to Ashton, as we walked around the Christmas tree farm. He looked at me. "I'm going to this place, and, I'll be gone for a few weeks. And I need you to watch Jackie." I said. "Okay. When are you leaving?" He asked. "Two days after Christmas." I said. "Alright." He said.
"Mommy! Mommy!" Jackie yelled. "Hi baby." I said, sitting up. "Mommy! Santa came! He came!" She yelled. "Ssh. Daddy's sleeping." I said. She nodded.
I walked over to the stereo, and turned it on. I put his cd in, and blasted it. "Wake up! Wake up!" Jackie yelled. "Wake up!" I yelled. We climbed up on the bed, and jumped around.
"I'm up. I'm up!" Ashton yelled. Jackie and I stopped jumping. Ashton grabbed my waist, and pulled me down. "Ashton!" I yelled, as I went down. He put me on his lap, and kissed me. "I love you." He said. "I love you more." I replied.
"Jackie, this is for you." I said, handing her a gift. "Ashton, this is for you." I said. "Wow babe! You didn't have to do this." Ashton said. I got him a picture of his sister and his brother, sitting on the beach. That was one of the pictures I couldn't save in the fire.
"Babe, this is for you." Ashton said, handing me a box. "Oh my god. Ashton. This is beautiful." I said. It was a necklace, that had ash engraved in it, since we both get called ash. "And a matching bracelet. Ashton." I said, kissing him.
"Babe, this is also for you." Ashton said, handing me a wrapped box. "Wow. Um. This is. Wow." I said, holding up a neon pink bra. "Little something for tonight." He said. My mouth dropped. "What does that mean?" Jaclyn asked. "It means, you're sleeping over aunt Anne's tonight." Ashton said. I laughed.
The front door opened. "Hey babe." Someone said. "Hey Mikey." I said. "Where's Ashton?" Luke asked. "He's changing Jackie." I replied. "Is that what ash gave to you?" Calum asked. I nodded. "Pretty." He said.
"Now that everyone is here, I would like to say something." Ashton said, standing up, and taking my hands in his. I smiled a nervous smile. "Ashley, I love you so much. I always have. That first day we met, I fell in love, even though you hated me." He said, reaching into his pocket, and pulled out a little box. "And with this ring, I promise to love you forever. On the road, home, away, everywhere." He said, putting the ring on my left hand. "It's beautiful." I said with tears in my eyes.
