"Jaclyn Rose. Clean. Now." I said. "No!" She yelled. "Jaclyn Rose Johnson-Green! Now!" I said. Four year olds. Today is her birthday, and they get worse and worse.
There was a knock on the door. "Daddy!" Jackie yelled. "Hey ladybug." He replied. "You okay?" He asked me. I was still in my pajamas. My hair thrown into a bun, and no makeup. "Yea." I replied out of breath.
"Happy birthday ladybug." Ashton said, giving Jackie a present. She ran away with it. "Jaclyn... Oh it's no use." I said.
"Are you sure you're alright?" He asked. I nodded. "It's just that, my birthday was yesterday, hers is today. You're going into surgery. My dad is coming here. My sister is coming. And it's so much stress-" "babe. I don't go into surgery for a week. I'll help out. I'll clean, and help out with Jackie." He said. "I love you so much." I said. "I know you do." He replied. I laughed.
"And don't worry. I planned a night for us. Jackie is going to Annelyy's, so we have this room to ourselves." He said. I laughed, and kissed him.
"Look who's back." My dad said. "Jaclyn Rose! Stop playing with your Barbie, and say hi to daddy!" I yelled. "Coming!" She replied. "Hi daddy." Jackie said. "Does your dad not know?" Ashton whispered. "No. And he never will, until she slips one day. But I've been her mother since she was born, so." I whispered back.
"So Anton-" "it's Ashton dad." I said. "So ashton, how long will you be back for?" My dad asked. "About two months, which is a quarter of the tour." Ashton replied. "Why?" Dad asked. "I have to get surgery." He replied.
"Oh, so Ashley, you got a letter from Harvard today." My dad said. "That's great babe." Ashton said. "Why? I didn't even put any papers for Harvard." I replied. "You didn't have to. I did it for you." My dad replied. "I'll go bring Jackie into the other room." Ashton said. "Come here ladybug." He said, carrying her into a room.
"Why would you do that dad!" I yelled. "I told you. You're going to Harvard." He said. "Dad, I'm not going to college." I said. "Like hell you aren't." He replied.
"I need to take care of Jackie. And now with Ashton-" "everything is about ashton! He's gonna break your heart Ashley! And Jackie is my daughter-" "first of all, Ashton will never break my heart. I know that for a fact. I love him, and he loves me. And we are both so happy together. And second of all, Jackie is not your child dad." I snapped.
"What do you mean?" He asked. "Jackie is my child dad." I said. His mouth dropped open. "For the past four years, I let that creature in my house, when I wasn't even my child! It was yours!" He yelled. "That's worse than not going to college. You have a child! With who!? When!? Why!?" He yelled. "Tyler. When I was sixteen." I replied.
"You are a disgrace to this family. You should be ashamed. Your mother would be so disappointed in you. And I call you my daughter. You're no child of mine." He said.
Tears were brimming in my eyes. "Leave." I said. "I'll be glad to. Don't come crying to me when he leaves you for someone prettier, or for someone who doesn't have a child." He said.
Ashton came back out. "Hey, hey. Don't cry." He said hugging me. "Will you ever leave?" I asked. "No. Of course not." He replied. "You still love me even though I have Jackie right." I said. "Of course. If I didn't, I would never have came back, and I wouldn't be staying with you." He replied. I smiled. "Mommy. I'm hungry." Jackie said. "Yea mommy. I'm hungry." Ashton repeated. "How about I order pizza?" I asked. "Good thing Michael isn't here." I said.
My phone started ringing. "Hello." I said. "I heard you're ordering pizza." He said. "How... Ashton!" In yelled. I heard Ashton giggle. "Have fun tonight. Not too much. Remember, you have Jaclyn with you." He said. I rolled my eyes and hung up. "Happy nineteenth birthday babe." Ashton said, as he kissed me. "Thank you." I said.
"Daddy, can you tuck me in?" Jackie asked. "Of course." I replied. I picked her up. "Alright, goodnight my little ladybug." I said. "Daddy." She said. I turned around. "Don't hurt my mommy." She said. "Don't worry." I replied kissing her head.
"I'm sorry she keeps calling you daddy." Ashley said. "I love it. It seems like she has a real father, than the other ones he had before." I replied. "Thank you." She said. "For what?" I asked. "For being here. For taking care of us. Especially Jackie." She said. "I know what it's like to be a mother, and I know what it's like to be a father. I grew up with out a father, I don't want that to happen with Jaclyn." I replied. She smiled. "Go to bed baby." I said, kissing her head. She fell asleep right in my arms. My two amazing girls, are right here. I don't think I need anything else.
