I walked in through my hotel room door and Nala came running towards me. I picked her up and she whimpered. I noticed her empty food bowl. I placed her on the floor and filled her food bowl. She ate and I hopped in the shower. When I got out my phone rang.
"Hello?" I said through the phone.
"Should I call you Tania or Tori?" A mans voice rang through into my ear. It sounded familiar but I didn't know who it was.
"Um. Sorry. Who is this?" I said calmly as I panicked a bit inside.
"Oh. Sweetie. That's not necessary. I just called to ask you how it felt to get your boyfriend stabbed? How did it feel to be the cause of his close to death?" My eyes started to burn and tears of lava fell from the erupting volcanic eyes I have.
"Who. Is. This?" I asked through gritted teeth. Just then he hung up. Just like that. I put on black leggings and a baggy sweatshirt and threw my hair in a bun. I took Nala and my phone along with all my money I had and caught a cab to the hospital. I ran into Cameron's hospital room and sat down beside him. I placed my hand on his chest and felt it move up and down with his breaths and sighed out with relief. He was okay. But I was being stalked. And I was scared.
I woke up and checked the time. It was 10:00am. I must have fallen asleep. I looked up and Cameron was cuddled up with Nala. I smiled at the sight of him with the puppy. He looked over and saw me and sat up.
"Good morning babe!" He smiled and kissed me softly.
"Good morning. Cameron I need to tell you something." His smile faded and his face went serious.
"Tania. Mia everything okay?" He squeezed the words out as if it hurt to say.
"I got a call. It was a man. He. He said. It was my fault you were stabbed and almost bled out. He. He. He said he's playing a game. I think he wants to hurt me and you." Cameron grabbed ahold of my crying face and lifted my chin. He kissed my lips softly and pulled me into a hug.
"Everything is going to be okay. I won't let anyone hurt you. Okay!?" He exclaimed as he pulled me onto his hospital bed. He rapped his, now strong again, arms around me and held me close. I felt so safe. We laid there until the doctor came in.
"Hello Mr.Monaghan. It seems you are healing quite well. You can leave tomorrow. Just have to do papers. Now. Just a check up!" The young handsome doctor said he politely asked me to sit on the chair and not the bed until he was done. He had dark hair and blue eyes. His jaw was perfectly chiseled but jot overly. He was a work of art.
"Dr.Bomer, how long until it scars over?" I asked as he evaluated Cameron's wound.
"It should take about...I don't know...a month. The wound is very deep and to fully scar over it has to heal thoroughly and it might take a while." He answered and turned to me as he explained the process.
"Okay. Will it bleed at all?" I asked as he put another bandage over Cameron's chest.
"Yes. But that's normal. When he showers mostly. But was the wound with this solution everyday when you wake up and when you go to sleep." He handed me a bottle with almost clear fluid in it. In out it in my bag and shook the Doctors hand as he walked out.
"WAIT!" I called. He turned around and looked at me.
"Can I have your office phone number for if we have any problems at home?" He took out a pen and wrote it down he handed it to me and left.
"Don't worry babe we will be fine. I will be fine. Okay?" Cameron said as the nurse brought his food.
"Yeah. But. Can I have your jello. I'm hungry." He laughed and handed me the jello. I began to eat it when I noticed he hadn't touched his food.
"Why aren't you eating?" I asked as I stood up and walked over to his bed.
"I miss your cooking. Three days babe. Three days. Just about four." I laughed.
"Hun. It's been a week! I will pick you up a burger and fries from that fast food across the street. You can watch me. See. Out the window. Ha. What a view." He looked outside and saw everyone there.
"Better than hospital food but not as good as yours. Okay hurry though. Love you!" He kissed my cheek and I ran across the street. When I got there I ordered us both bacon cheese burgers with fries. I noticed a man in a corner booth alone. I'd seen him before but I couldn't remember where. I heard my number being called and I grabbed my food. I started back when I got a call. The same number.
"Hello?" My voice trembled.
"Fast food isn't healthy Tani. Come on. You know better." It was the same man from last night. I ran to the hospital and up to the room.
"Hey. That was fast. Who called you?" He asked unwrapping his burger.
"The same guy. He said fast food isn't food for me. I think I saw him." He took a sip of his water and straightened his back.
"It's okay. I'm here. I won't let him get to you." Right then I got another call. It was him. My stalker.
