We stood there hugging for what felt like forever. I dragged him into my house and up into my room.
I put on some music and we got into my bed. We laid there cuddling. I buried my face in his chest and breathed in his smell while he played with my hair. I looked up at him and he was smiling down at me. I giggled and rested my head on his chest and fell asleep to the sound of his slow heart beat.
I woke up at 7 AM and crawled out of bed. Michael was still asleep. A few rays of sun peaked through the window and across his face. He just slept there so peacefully with his hair messier than usual and a small smile on his face. I couldn't help but smile, too.
He woke up an hour and a half later and looked around my room. "Nice place you got here." He said sarcastically as he laughed at my pink walls and flowery decorations.
"Shut up, Michael!"
I needed to change my room so badly, it was horrible.
"Help me redo it."
"When?" He said.
"How about today?"
We got ready and walked to the paint store. He didn't have a car and it would've taken longer to go on a bus. I let him pick out the color. I planned on covering the walls in posters anyways. He picked out a light gray. It was really nice, actually. We bought the paint and some painting stuff.
"Do you wanna go anywhere else?" He asked
"No, let's just go paint first."
We got back to my place and started moving everything to the center of the room so we could paint the walls. He set the paint up and I went to go lay in my bed.
"Aren't you gonna help?" He asked.
"Do I have too?"
"Well, it is your room."
"Too bad!" We both laughed.
We both agreed to paint half of the room, but made it a competition. Whoever finished painting their half first would get to do whatever they wanted with the other person for the whole day tomorrow. And the loser would have to do it.
We both rushed to paint our sides of the room then decided to take a break. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and sat on the floor eating it. Michael had paint all over him, he was quite a messy painter.
"So, who do you think is gonna win?" He asked.
I looked around the room and he was almost done painting, and I was only half way. I frowned.
He laughed and put his hand on my shoulder.
"Hey, it's okay. We'll have a lot of fun tomorrow." He winked and I giggled.
I really loved him.
