I unfold the crumpled up paper.
It says "MEET ME IN YOUR BACKYARD IN 15 MINUTES!" It had a bunch of little smiley faces drawn around it. I smiled and looked up to his window. But he wasn't there.
I got dressed and went out back. I know it said 15 minutes, but I got there in 2. I waited. 8 minutes later, Michael jumped over my fence.
"Hey, beautiful." He had such a big smile on his face.
"Hey!" I said.
It was really love at first sight with him. The way he smiled at me, and talked, and said my name. It was just perfect.
"What do you want now?" I said, jokingly.
"I just wanted to see you again. Not sure if I was just dreaming all of that, haha."
"Well, you weren't! I'm your neighbor now."
"I know, it's so amazing. How could the most beautiful girl just move in next to me? Maybe next, you'll move in with me." He winked.
I knew he was joking, but I wanted it to be true.
We sat down in the grass, just talking about whatever. It was so nice I had never felt like this with anyone before.
By 1 AM I was really exhausted. I leaned against Michael and closed my eyes. We laid there in the grass and fell asleep under a blanket of stars.
I woke up at 7. I was somewhere I'd never been before. I turned over, and Michael was sleeping next to me. I looked around, there was posters all over and the room was a mess. It was Michael's room. I shook him and he woke up. His eyes were so sleepy. He yawned. His hair was so messy, but it looked so perfect. "Goodmorning." He said, and smiled.
"How did we end up here?" I asked.
"We fell asleep outside. When I woke up I carried you up here." I didn't say anything. I just closed my eyes and rested my head on his chest and fell asleep.
