We arrived at the hospital. I lead Luke to the room Michael was in. His jaw dropped when he saw Michael; all cut up and hooked up to all these machines. Luke walked up to Michael. "Mikey?"
Michaels eyes slowly opened as he yawned. "Lukey!" He said, his voice was so dry. Luke leaned over and hugged him. My eyes started tearing up, as I stood back and watch the two boys embrace. I tried to hold it back the best I could, only a few tears came out.
Luke finished hugging Michael, and Luke backed up and sat in the only chair in the room. Michael sat up a little, the most he could, and waved for me to come over. I ran over and hugged him. I laid next to him and rested my head on his shoulder. I could no longer hold it back, a million little drops rolled down my face and onto his shoulder.
I looked up at Michael, as a single tear rolled down his face. "I missed you," he says with a shaky voice.
"I missed you more." I smiled.
Luke was still sitting there, watching us. "Aw." He said long and dragged out.
Michael and I both looked at Luke and laughed. Then we looked back at each other. I could see his soul right through his beautiful eyes. Right then, I knew he was going to make it. He pulled me closer and slowly kissed me.
A nurse knocked on the door, then let herself in immediately after, interrupting our kiss. "Time to go." She opened the door, and waited for us to walk out.
I got off Michael's bed and stood by him. I held onto his hand and kissed him one last time. "I wish you didn't have to go." He whispered. "It's okay. I love you Michael." I whispered back. "I love you too, Alice." I walked out, and Luke came out a minute after.
"Back to my place?" Luke says. I nodded and we walked out to his car. He opened the door for me and I got in. "Do you think he's gonna make it?" He asked.
"I know he's gonna make it."
