7. Love isn't real
After 20 minutes of running she paused to catch her breathe and rest her bleeding and aching feet. As she leaned against a redwood tree, gasping for air that only burned her lungs, her mind raced faster than her heartbeat. “Please don't leave!! DAHLIA! I love you!” she sobbed and fell onto the damp needles and twigs that covered the musty dark dirt like fog over the sea; but it was too late. Dawn’s bone chilling screams wouldn't bring her back, and she knew that. Her mind raced, she needed and wanted Dahlia so badly, but Dahlia didn't need her or want her. And with that realization, she stood up and continued to run.
