The War of Four Worlds

"I race through the woods, dodging trees and leaping over boulders, careful not to slip on the thin layer of frost on the ground. I routinely glance over my shoulder, seeing the pack of wolves quickly gaining on me. I come to a halt when I reach a drop-off. Very long way down, and the cliff is vertical, no way to slide anyways. I hear the panting and paws crunching snow, so I'll try something new." Read it to figure out what this is about! Hint: it gets very science fictioney (that's not a word) and there's plenty of blood and stuff so be warned. Also, watch the 'trailer' (it's just a song, actually, but if you like rock music you should listen to it).

16. Chapter 16

I blink back tears and try to think of where Zane would keep him. Some rock on Ragnorect? Maybe. I have to find him . . .

I'll ask Zane myself.

I fly to Ragnorect and meet Zane at his planet's main city.

"Ah, Erika, it's been forever- "

"Where are you keeping him you sick bastard!" I shout. Zane stops in the middle of a breath and smiles.

"I'm not sure what exactly you are talking about."

"Don't do this, Zane," I warn, "Just take me to him." Zane shrugs and beckons to a guard, who escorts me down a flight of stairs.

The city's underground is huge. I can see another whole city down here . . . full with dark alleys and all.

We go down one of the said dark alleys and the guard opens a door. My heart wrenches.

There are two parts to the large room, separated by glass. On one side is a chair with a desk, and on the desk are several buttons and levers. On the other side is a metal table, upright and with restraints on it. There are wires running to and from the metal, and another table, set up normally, has on it many kinds of sharp objects.

I turn to the guard. "Where is Jonah?!" He grunts and shoves me into the room. We are in the side with the chair, and he pushes on my shoulders to sit me down.

"Hey! Don't try to push me around there, stupid. I'm immortal again, and I can kill you."

"Yes, but if you struggle you will never see him again."

I bite my tongue and sit down. The guard leaves, slamming and locking the door.
