There's two different paths of life. The one where you have a shitty first 15-20 years, then finally life starts to get better, or the one where your first 15-20 years are great, then shit happens. Either way, there's always a hard time at some point.
The first scenario, you get abused as a kid. You get pushed around as a teenager. You get stressed as a new adult. Then you get accepted, after all the garbage happens and you recover from the hurt. At first it's hard to believe that things could go right and shit won't blow up like it usually does and has always done since you can remember.
The second scenario where your childhood is perfect, your teenage life is pressured but fun, and at college age is where it starts to get rough. You're used to having it easy, used to things going right cause you're a kid and that's how it should be, but you're not a kid anymore and then life throws shit at you and you don't know how to respond cause you're so used to an easier life.
We all know someone who has gone through each scenario. My mom had the first scenario, my dad had the second. I don't know which one I have but what about you? How do you deal with the shit life throws at you?
And can we take a minute for the people who never get a break from the shit? Their childhood had problems, their teenage years were hard, their new adult years were pressing, their adult years were stressed packed and now their marriage is falling apart, their kids are out of order, their relatives and close family are dying or distancing themselves, they are having problems paying the bills, their car won't start today and they will probably lose their job. They are going through a lot of shit.
Can we take a minute for those people and just tell them that maybe they are unbelievable?
that they are stronger
than most of us?
We all know someone who got the short end of the stick each draw and is having a shit day every day. Give them encouragement and tell them that they can get through that shit. There's shit in everyone's life at some point... Let's just get through this shit okay?
