A week had past since the Gryffindor party and a few things had changed. 1) Everyone seemed to be with someone. 2) that Slytherin boy- I think is name was Barry- anyway, he hadn't spoken to me since that night. Josh and Lucy seemed to have got together which was cute in their own little, weird way, but the one thing that annoyed me the most was Cat and Isaac. Isaac Montosso is with Catarneigh Salucci? How does that happen? I was sitting in History of Magic waiting for Cat to show up. When she finally did, we were twenty minutes into the lesson.
'Sorry I'm late.' she said.
Professor Binns nodded and Cat sat next to me. 'What took you so long?'
'We slept in.'
I knew by 'we' Cat meant her and Isaac. Cat spends most of her nights with Isaac Montosso in the Gryffindor house while I'm stuck with Natalia Bluddersmith. I remember the first night she did it and she didn't even have the decency to tell me.
It was about half eleven and Bluddersmith walked in. 'I don't think Salucci's sleeping here tonight.' she said.
I looked at her. Bluddersmith isn't one to be trusted but I decided to press the subject. 'How do you know?' I asked.
'I just saw her with Isaac Montosso, looking as if they were going to Gryffindor Tower.'
You know your friend's got other 'things' going on when they can't even be bothered to tell you that they've left you with Bluddersmith- of all people.
It still bothered me Cat had done that but I'd sort of gotten used to it.
'I suppose you were up to night-time activities.' I said. I knew Cat had had sex at that party so I suppose there was no mystery into what Cat got up to in order to 'sleep in.'
'You heard about Josh and Lucy?' I asked, deciding to change the subject.
'Yeah. Do you think that's where she went after the party?' asked Cat.
I didn't mean to say what I said next.
'I don't think she had sex with him, though.'
'Why doesn't it always have to go back to that? Sometimes, you make me wish I didn't tell you.'
'I didn't mean it like that. I was just referring to Lou-Lou's good-girl personalty. To be honest with you kitty-cat, I didn't think you had it in you. Drunk or not drunk.' Cat didn't say anymore after that. And after History of Magic, we made our way down to the Great Hall.
Cat, as always, went off to sit at the Gryffindor table- where Isaac was.
'Do they have to be all over each other?' I asked Lucy.
Lucy looked over. 'I know. He always looks as though he wants to rip her clothes off right there and then.' said Lucy.
'What?' Lucy asked.
'Cat was late to History of Magic this morning.' Lucy wasn't in our lesson so she didn't know. 'She slept in, apparently. Thing is, she slept in Gryffindor house.'
'How does she get away with it? Isn't it against the school rules?' asked Lucy.
You're so innocent, Lucy.
'Yeah, but loads of girls do it. And I'm sure Isaac Montosso's had a few. Even in the week he's been with Cat.'
Lucy's eyes widened. 'You think he's cheating on her?' she asked.
'Yeah. Look around you, Lou-Lou. Every girl looks at him with dreamy eyes. None of them- especially the fifth years- can understand why he'd go out with a little third year. Especially Sasha Layne.'
I saw Lucy looked around. Even I saw most girls' eyes fixed on Isaac.
'I'm really worried for her, you know.' said Lucy, looking towards Cat.
'Why? If anything happens, it'll be Cat's fault in the end. Anyway, I want to know about your love-life. It's going much better than mine. Barry still hasn't talked to me. Or even acknowledged me.'
