Five days. Five days since Cat had gone through the passage to find her sister and neither she nor Heather had woken. Heather had made some noise of life but nothing to truly wake her up. Cat on the other hand, stayed still and quiet.
After calming my sister down, Dumbledore had returned. Once hearing this, I ran to his office.
'Professor!' I said, as I opened the door.
'Miss Finnigan. What can I do for you?'
'It's Cat. Catarneigh Salucci. Heather, her sister was taken by Alfred Posh and Cat-'
'Miss Salucci has gone down to find her.' Dumbledore interrupted.
'What? How do you know?'
'Miss Polo has already told me.'
Tilly's been here?
'Yes. She seemed quite concerned about Miss Salucci. She told me I should go to the cave and saved the both of them.'
But...why? Tilly hates us.
'No doubt Miss Salucci and her sister have been in that cave for most of the day. Perhaps we ought to find them. I believe you know the way.'
After I showed Dumbledore where the cave was. He summoned Fawkes- his phoenix, and he flew down the passage and into the cave. Moments later, he came back with Cat, Heather and Alfred Posh. All three of them unconscious.
Five days I had been sitting by Cat's bed, waiting for her to wake up. I refused to go to any of lessons. What if she was to die and I wasn't here? What if both of them died? Emily came to visit Heather, but didn't stay for long. Posh was well gone. He'd woken up two hours after Fawkes had brought up from the cave and he'd been sent back to Azkaban.
'Please wake up, Cat. Please.' I said aloud. The hospital was empty saved me, Cat and Heather and I needed to hear the sound of a voice- even if it was my own.
'Do you think she can hear you?'
I turned around to see Shaun walking towards Cat's bed.
He pulled up a chair.
'She bloody stupid. She should've let someone else get her sister.' said Shaun.
'I suppose...I kind'a let of, though.'
'If it was your sister, would you have gone down there?'
I thought for a moment. I didn't know whether to lie or tell the truth. In the end, I decided on the truth.
Shaun looked at me.
'Not on my own, anyway. What about you?'
'Isaac wouldn't let himself in this mess anyway.'
'My brother. He does come here. Or he did. He got expelled, but I think they're letting him come back next year,'
'What did he get expelled for?'
'Um...I dunno. He's never told me.'
We both when quiet...when-
Me and Shaun looked over to see Heather sitting up, shaking. I got out of my seat- my legs shaky from sitting down for so long- and made my way over to Heather's bed.
'It's okay. It's okay. You're safe. It's okay, Heather.'
Heather was breathing hard. 'Where is he?'
'He's gone. He's gone back to Azkaban.'
'Cat...I could hear my sister-'
Heather looked over to the bed. Once seeing Cat, she tried climbed out of the bed, only to fall onto the floor. I helped her up and back into her own bed.
'Cat's okay,' I lied. 'It's best if you stay in your own bed.'
'I'm so tired...'
'It's okay. Just go back to sleep.'
I watched as Heather closed her eyes. Once I was sure she was asleep, and sat back into the chair by Cat's bed.
'You sure she'll wake up again?' asked Shaun.
'Yeah...We've just gotta hope Cat wakes up.'
I looked back at Cat. Five days.
