The Hogwarts Express started to move. Me and Heather were wandering around trying to find a free compartment. As we past each compartment every person who was in that compartment kept looking at us.
'Why is everyone looking at us?' asked Heather.
'They just are,' I replied.
Heather didn't know what incident had happened between me and Natalia Bluddersmith in my first year. That was the reason everyone was looking at 'us'
'Here we are.' I said, pulling the compartment door open. Once inside, we sat down.
'So, you excited for your first year at Hogwarts?' I asked, trying to start a conversation.
The compartment door slid open again and Lucy and another girl walked in.
'Sit there, and shut up.' ordered Lucy. I hadn't know Lucy in a long time but I'd never heard her speak like this before. I noticed Lucy had grown at least two inches since last year. Her hair seemed a darker blonde as well.
'You dyed your hair? Or whatever Muggles call it?' I aksed.
'Me? No. My hair gets a darker blonde every year. Nobody knows why.'
'Aren't you going to introduce me to your friend?' asked the girl in a snottish tone.
'Catarneigh, this is Emily. Emily, this is Catarneigh.'
Emily looked exactly the same as Lucy. Blonde hair, green eyes...dark skin. She was also Irish as well, though her accent didn't seem as strong as Lucy's even though Lucy had only lived in Ireland a year longer than Emily. Emily looked over at Heather who was still looking out of the window.
'What's your name?' she asked.
'You don't look like a Heather.'
Emily was right. Heather didn't look like a Heather, but then I didn't think I looked like a Catarneigh.
'I saw Shaun and his cousin before. Or should I say cousins.' said Lucy.
'Did they look like him?'
'If you mean do they look like a Gryffindor then yeah,' laughed Lucy.
'His whole family's in Gryffindor, aren't they?'
'I hope I'm in Gryffindor.' said Heather, joining the conversation.
'Why do you want to be a Gryffindor?' I asked. I expected Heather to want to be a Ravenclaw.
'Let's face it, Cat. I'm not exactly clever, am I?'
'You don't have to be clever to be in Ravenclaw, you might just want to learn.' I said. It was true. I didn't think I was clever but still ended up being sorted into Ravenclaw.
'Let me rephrase what I said; I'm not exactly a Ravenclaw, am I?'
'Is she seriously your sister?' joked Lucy.
'I know. It's hard to believe,' I said.
Me and Heather weren't just different in appearance, we were also different in personality as well.
'Does Heather know, you know...?' asked Lucy.
I looked a Heather, then back at Lucy.
I shook my head.
The compartment door opened again. This time it was Shaun and two first years- a boy and a girl. Without even greeting us he sat down and pulled out a newspaper.
I didn't know Shaun read the news.
The two first years just stood there.
'Have you guys seen this?' Shaun showed u the newspaper. It had a picture of a man in ragged clothing. The caption read; Alfred Posh on the prowl for young children again after serving ten years in Azkaban. 'The creep shouldn't have been let out in the fist place.'
'Who is he?' asked Lucy.
'Alfred Posh. He kidnaps little kids. It's disgusting.' said Shaun.
I saw Heather looking out of the window, obviously not listening to our conversation.
Shaun stood up.
'You can keep that,' he said, pointing to the newspaper.
'Is that all you wanted to say?' I asked, as he was about to leave.
'That's all I wanted to show you. I'd keep an eye on your sisters, you don't know who's hands they could end up in.' Shaun left the compartment with the two first years.
'That was weird,' said Lucy.
'Come on. We'll be at Hogwarts soon. Better put our robes on,'
'This man; Alfred Posh. He won't get us, will he?' asked Emily, suddenly sounding scared.
'He won't, Emily. There's no place safer than Hogwarts,' I smiled reassuringly. Emily smiled back, she looked kind when she smiled. I noticed Heather, however, continued staring out of the window. I the noticed a letter that was gripped tightly in her hand.
I swear she didn't have that when we boarded the train.
