I walked into the Great Hall with Lucy to find Heather sitting on the Ravenclaw table.
'What's up?' I asked, once I had reached Heather.
'I thought you might've wanted me to wait for you.' said Heather.
'Oh. What's that for?' I asked, pointing to the paper in her hand.
'Oh, this? It's nothing.' Heather attempted to hide the paper but I grabbed it before she could.
'Are you sure it's nothing?' I asked when I noticed it was a letter.
'I'm very sure,' Heather jumped up to grab the letter. 'I'm gonna go.' she grabbed her bag and walked out of the Hall. I shouted as she left-
'I thought you were waiting for us?
Heather didn't reply. Instead, she carried on walking out of the Hall.
'What was that about?' asked Lucy, as we sat down.
'I dunno. Anyway, what was it that you wanted to show me?'
Lucy went into her bag and pulled out a book.
'Do you remember when we were by the carriages and me and Portia saw those creatures?'
'I found out what they were,' Lucy opened the book. I saw there was no picture which was strange. 'They're called Thestrals. They can only be seen by those who've seen death, it's why the Ministry thinks they're dangerous, but they're not really.'
'You've seen someone die?' I asked, surprised.
'Yeah. I don't remember it, though.'
I decided not to push the subject.
'Come on. We've got Charms,' I said, as I got to my feet.
Lucy put the book back in her bag.
'I hate Charms,' she said, as we walked out of the Hall.
'You hate all your lessons,'
