I stare down at my suitcase as Chloe puts in the last couple pairs of pants in it. "Tomorrow." I whisper as I watch her. Tomorrow is the day we leave. We leave at noon and take a three hour flight to the other end of the country.
"Hey, it's going to be okay." Chloe assures me and I throw in my shoes and a bag of other stuff in the case.
"No it's not." I sigh as I zip it up and throw it in the corner with my two other bags. "I don't wanna leave."
"Do you think I want to leave?" Chloe asks. "El, I'm going to miss Luke like crazy and it's going to be hell. But this is the best thing for our schooling and you know that, we have to go! I'm trying to be positive about this to make both of us happy." She explains.
I sigh and collapse on the bed, stuffing my face in my pillow. "I don't know how you do it." I sigh. "God I love you Chloe." I laugh.
"I love you too Elli." She laughs. "I'm gonna go okay? I'll text Ashton to come over."
"Okay." I say. "Have fun with Luke!" I say and listen as she goes downstairs. And somehow in that moment, I fall asleep.
"Elli Belly, wake up." I hear as I slowly open my eyes. I smile once I see Ashton hovering over me. I giggle and poke his dimples as I sit up in bed and Ashton sits beside me.
Ashton leans down and kisses me softly. I smile after the kiss and Ashton smiles brightly. "Why are you so smiley?" I ask.
"I have a surprise for you." Ashton smiles and takes something out of his back pocket. He hands me two tickets.
"No." I say in shock as I look at the tickets. Two of The 1975 tickets for tonight's show.
"Yes." Ashton laughs. "I know you've always wanted to go to one of The 1957 concerts so a few months ago I ordered these for us for today." Ashton explains.
"You're the best." I smile and kiss him hardly, my fingers intertwining into his hair. Ashton smiles into the kiss and intertwines his his hand with my free hand. I look into his eyes and smile as we both part from the kiss. "Are you only doing this because I'm leaving tomorrow?" I silently ask.
"I want to have the best time with you before you leave. I want to make it all count because I won't be able to be with you for a couple months." Ashton explains.
I sit up and hold Ashton's hand tightly. "Well thank you." I smile brightly. Ashton smiles and kisses my cheek.
"We can go out to dinner before the concert if you want. We still have like four hours before we have to leave though." Ashton explains. "What do you wanna do?"
"I don't know." I sigh. "What do you wanna do?"
Ashton leans closer to me, his face centimeters from mine. "I really want to kiss and cuddle you." He whispers as his lips crash against mine. I smile into the kiss and let my head fall against my pillow again.
Ashton lays beside me and I lay my head on his shoulder. His arm wraps around my waist, his hand resting on my back. Ashton's breaths become steady with mine and I feel ourselves fall asleep at the same time.
"Ashton." I mumble against the pillow as I look at the clock on my phone to see that it's three. The concert is in three hours.
"Hm?" Ashton groans and pulls me closer to him. I close my eyes as he nussles his head into the crook of my neck. "Do we have to get up?"
"If you want to be early to the concert and still get dinner then yes." I giggle and poke at his cheek. Ashton smiles and opens his eyes. He kisses me softly and we both sit up.
"I'll be downstairs, you can do whatever you want to get ready." Ashton smiles and gets up.
I watch as he jogs downstairs and I get out of bed. I fix my hair in the mirror and throw on a black pair of skinny jeans. I keep my black tank top on and throw on a red and black, plaid flannel. I quickly put on a black beanie and grab my phone before I go downstairs to meet Ashton by the door.
"Ready?" He smiles.
"Ready." I smile brightly.
The bright lights flash around us, the music blaring through everyone's ears. You can clearly see everything happening onstage. How the strings on the guitar moves, how everyone moves to the beat as they play. Ashton and I scream the words to the lyrics as The 1975 plays.
I look over at Ashton, his eyes shining with the lights. He looks so happy and relaxed. It seems like there's nothing to worry about right now. Ashton looks down at me and a bright smile forms across his face. I smile brightly and we continue to sing along to the music.
All the fans scream through the songs. This is, by far one of the best concerts I've l ever been too. I don't know what I would ever do to repay him.
I watch as the last note to the last song plays. I look over at Ashton and he smiles. "That was great!" He says into my ear and kisses my cheek softly.
It took us a while to make our way out of the venue but we finally did it. "That was awesome." I say as Ashton starts to drive back to his house.
Ashton looks over and smiles. "I had the best time ever." He smiles and holds my hand tightly. I smile brightly and hold his hand tightly back.
"Thank you." I smile.
"You're welcome. I love you." Ashton smiles.
"I love you too."
Once we reach his apartment I open the door. Rue isn't here anymore because Ashton gave her to his little brother since Ashton wasn't ever home. Once Ashton walks in he shuts the door behind me. "I have one more surprise." Ashton says. "It's really simple, don't worry."
I giggle and follow Ashton into his room. On the bed lies a picture frame with many different sections. Around it is a heart in rose petals. "Chloe helped me with it." Ashton explains as I pick up the picture frame. In the middle is a picture of me and Ashton at the beach. Then there are pictures of the guys and Chloe and I. There is also a picture of all of us together.
"I really like it." I smile brightly and turn to Ashton. "It's beautiful."
Ashton smiles as bright as a person can be and hugs me tightly. "Elli," he whispers against my temple. "I love you so much."
"I love you too." I whisper, my eyes turning glossy like glass. I look into Ashton's eyes. "Ashton," I whisper.
"Shh.." Ashton whispers and leans down to kiss me. "Just relax."
Ashton kisses me as he places the frame onto the dresser. We both fall onto the bed and Ashton straddles me onto the bed. He kisses me softly and slowly, his lips making me forget about everything.
Ashton has this way he can make you forget about the most important things in the world and I don't know what I would do without it.
