I thought I was the shy girl in school. I always thought the guy I was head over heals for would never like me. I was the girl who no one talked to. The girl who was bullied. It all started since my dad died. But then he liked me. And everything changed.

26. Hiding It

Important a/n at the end.

Elli's POV:

I laugh as I walk through the mall, Chloe beside me as we walk into one of her favorite stores. We're getting a few new outfits for college in two weeks. It sucks that we have to leave soon but, we have too.

It's been about three days since Ashton has asked me to marry him and from what I know, none of our friends know yet. I still have the ring on, Chloe just hasn't noticed it yet.

I hold out a weird shirt in front if me so Chloe can see. She laughs and shakes her head. "That's horrible." She laughs.

I laugh and put it back on the rack. "It would be funny if we just changed our whole style for a day. I wonder what the guys would do."

"Probably break up with us and leave us with Michael and Calum." Chloe laughs. "Sadly, that's probably true."

I laugh an grab my two bags. "Are you ready?" I ask. "We can go back to my house, my mom wants to see you."

"Yeah." Chloe says and we walk out of the store. We start walking out to my car and I pull out my phone. That's when she notices. "ELLI WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?!" She practically screams through the whole mall.

"Shut the hell up and I'll tell you when we get in the car." I laugh. I watch as Chloe practically runs out to my car. I follow her and once I get inside she slaps my arm.

"Tell. Me. Now." She demands.

"There's not much to say actually. Ashton asked me to marry him and I said yes." I begin to explain.

"What?!" Chloe squeals.

"Calm down. He asked my mom first so he could like have her permission and she gave him my grandmothers old engagement ring so he could give it to me." I explain. "Then at dinner, he slipped it into my hand and asked." I'm now smiling down at my hand, remembering the day.

"Oh my god! Elli is going to be married!!" She squeals. "Elli Irwin!"

I laugh. "We decided to get married after college though." I say.

Chloe nods. "I have to tell Luke. Can I, can I please?" She begs. I nod and she pulls out her phone and calls Luke. I ignore their conversation and pull out my phone, texting Ashton.

Me- Hey, Chloe just found out. She's telling Luke

Ashton- I just told Calum and Michael, they're really excited. Since Luke knows everyone knows then right?

Me- Yeah I'm really excited. I love you

Ashton- I love you more.

I look over to Chloe to see that she's still talking on the phone. I laugh and start the car, making my way back to my house. As soon as we reach my house, Chloe runs inside. I groan as I grab all of our bags from the back seat and take them inside. I take off my shoes as I throw the bags on the bottom step of the stairs and walk out into the kitchen to find my mom and Chloe.

"She's getting married!! I can't believe it." Chloe yells.

"I don't see what the big deal is. It's happening in like four years." I say. Honestly, I want to get married now but it would be great to wait four years. I'd enjoy the engagement and not be worried the whole time I'm away at collage.

"Still!" Chloe yells.

"I do get her point." My mom says.

I lay my head on Ashton's chest as we lay in my bed, watching a movie. "I hate to bring this up, but I don't want you to leave in two weeks." Ashton says.

"I know." I sigh and pause the movie. I turn to face him and frown. "I don't want to leave either." Ashton brings his hand up to my face and removes the hair from my eyes. His thumb skims over my cheek bone and I can't help but close my eyes, enjoying the feeling. I'm going to miss his kisses every day and his soft touch. "I'm going to miss all of this." I whisper.

"Me too." Ashton says. He kisses me softly. "We won't let it come between us, right?"

"Right." I smile.

Honestly now that Ashton and I are engaged, I don't know if I can leave at all. Okay, so I don't know if I should like just skip the collage years and continue on with the story like that, not letting any chapters be about collage.. Or should I do like one chapter per each year and summer. I don't know. I need your guy's advise. Love you allxx
