2. Going Back
Today I had to go back to the place I hated most- Hogwarts. I had no friends there. Nobody who even looked at me anymore. Not even Liberty or Quinty or anyone. They all hated me. They all ignored me and pretended I wasn't there. I got ready slowly so I didn't have to go until later. Over the summer I tried learning to control my powers but there was no use in it as I would just get annoyed with myself and give up. I left my hair down so that no-one could see my face. I could do it. Take off in the woods. But I can't. I have things to do. If only I could pretend that none of this wizarding stuff never happened and that it was nothing to me I would. I could snap my wand so I would never have to go back. I could live in the woods as a normal person. Act like it wasn't real. But it was. So I couldn't pretend I couldn't do any of it.
I've decided I will. I'll run away from Hogwarts as soon as I got there. I'd run away and live alone. Learn to catch food and kill it. Live a different life. Break my wand and smash it to pieces. Keep hidden.
At the train station I kept away from other people. Tried not to make myself to obvious. But Slytherins could always be counted on to get involved. "What you doing?" Pansy Parkinson asked. "Getting my stuff together. Got any problems with that?" I said. She threw open my trunk and took out my wand box. "Oooh this is nice." Pansy said and when I reached for it she tossed it to one of her friends. They threw it at the track before the train came and then ran away. suddenly a figure leaped onto the track and picked it up. When they came back up and handed it to me I saw who it was. Harry Potter. "You know you don't have to be the saviour all the time." I said. I turned and walked away from him. I was alone for most of the trip. A Slytherin came into my carriage near the end. It was a girl with long blue hair to her waist. She sat there for a while and then started to speak to me. "Hi." She said, "I'm Monica. Monica James." She put her hand out for me to shake it. "Elsa." I said.
By the time we'd got there me and Monica were good friends. She didn't care about the fact I had powers or that I wasn't ordinary. To bad she was in Slytherin otherwise we could of been friends at school.
When we arrived I didn't see Harry or Ron there just Hermione who at one point came over and said "Hi." I said hi back but then she realised that I didn't want to speak to her so she left me alone. After the sorting I said bye to Monica and went back to my dorm.
