"Lauren wake up" I hear Harry say as he shakes me and I wearily wake up.
"Harry?" I whisper and look around to see nothing but darkness. "What time is it?"
"That doesn't matter. I just really needed to talk to you." He says and he looks exhausted and sad.
"What's wrong Harry?"
"I love you, and I don't think I'll ever stop loving you Lauren. Please just let me sleep here with you" he whispers and my heart flutters.
"I thought you just wanted to just be friends?" I ask confused.
"Of course that's not what I wanted. I was just to blind to see it" he confesses and I climb onto his lap as he holds me by my waist.
"I love you Harry"
"I love you Lauren" he says and caresses my face.
"I thought you wanted to be friends because of Olivia and stuff" I say playing with his hair.
"Olivia?" He says as sadness begins to take over his features.
"Yeah you couldn't love me because of her" I say utterly confused.
Harry begins to fade away and I begin to panic.
"Harry!" I yell waking up from my dream and frantically look around my room.
I have sweat dripping down my face and I'm breathing heavily.
Great. Another dream.
I've been having these dreams for three weeks now and I don't think they'll ever stop.
I have to go to the bathroom and Harry's not here. I'm not allowed to go downstairs unless Harry guides me.
I think it's pointless, but I really don't want to mess with the rules.
Finally I hear footsteps coming to my door and I know it's Harry.
"Good morning love" Harry smiles and I can't help but smile.
Why do I love him so much.
"Good morning, can we cut the chitchat for a minute so you can take me to the bathroom?" I ask and he chuckles before nodding.
We walk out of my room and I go to the toilet and brush my teeth. I'm surprised Desmond provided me all these supplies, he even bought tampons which is really odd.
I finish up doing what I have to do and find Harry standing in the hallway.
"Want breakfast?" He asks and I nod quickly as we walk to the kitchen.
"Why is Desmond never here?" I ask suddenly and I can tell it caught Harry off guard.
"Do you want him to be here?"
"No of course not, it's just a question" I say putting a piece of my hair behind my ear.
There has been awkward tension between Harry and I, being just friends with Harry is getting really hard to do.
"He's.... Handling business I guess you can say"
"What kind of business?"
"Obviously it involves your dad" he says and my nerves get the best of me.
"He's not going to k-kill my family, is he?" I stutter and he sighs.
"I honestly don't know Lauren-"
I walk away from Harry and towards the bathroom and lock the door.
I lean my shaking hands against the sink and just look at myself in the mirror.
I'm a mess.
My bags under my eyes are horrific and my skin is paler than usual. I feel the tears start to fall from my face and I can't help but start gasping for air.
This is all just too much.
The thought of losing my family hurts more than any physical pain I can endure. Sam is my baby sister, if anything ever happened to her I don't know what I would do. And my father, he might not be the worlds best dad, but I love him dearly.
How have they been dealing with my kidnapping?
Have they found any leads yet? Are they a mess without me?
Sam is the most fragile little girl I know and it breaks my heart that she's probably crying right now. She turns six in April, which I believe is a month from now? I have lost track of the days.
"Lauren?" Harry calls from the other side of the door.
I try to say something but can't. I just keep gasping for air and try to steady my breathing but nothing's working.
"Lauren I'm coming in!"
Harry unlocks the door with I assume a key and stares at me with wide eyes. It's probably because I look crazy trying to hold myself up on the bathroom counter as I try my hardest to breath.
Harry frantically tries to pull me to his chest but I will not allow it and start fighting for him to let me go.
"Let me help you" he says but I still fight to free myself as we land on the floor.
He puts his large hands under my shirt and I gasp at the contact. My breathing begins to slow at the feeling of his large cold hands against my warm skin.
His eyes meet mine as I stop shaking. I can't tell what he's thinking.
Once my breathing is normalized I quickly remove his hands and get up off the bathroom floor.
"Thanks" I whisper and he nods, avoiding eye contact with me.
"There's still some eggs and toast if you want some."
I nod and make my way into the kitchen. I sit on the wooden table in the center of the kitchen and Harry joins me.
We sit in complete silence for our whole meal, neither of us not knowing what to say.
"Wanna go for a walk?" Harry's asks and I drop my fork on my plate.
"You are letting me go outside?" I ask in awe.
I never thought I'd see the outside world again. There are windows in the cabin, but that doesn't compare to physically being out there.
"We're in a secluded area so it's fine" he says shrugging as if it's not a huge deal.
"Oh my god, thank you!" I squeal as I get up to hug him and he chuckles. "I'm gonna go get ready!"
"Okay" he laughs as I bolt up the stairs.
Finally, a little bit of freedom.
