I went into the room and saw that there was a girl already sitting in my seat. I didn't want to start a commotion so I just walked toward one of the center desks.
I tried getting a glimpse of her face, but she had a thick bundle of hair on her head. It was pretty though. The perfect loose blonde curls. Her features were perfect too. Everything was perfect about her, and since she was in this class, she must be smart.
"Welcome class. Oh, I almost forgot. Dear heavens. We have a new student. Claire Morse. Oh, stand up sweetie don't be shy."
She stood and faced the class. As soon as she showed her face a boy from the back whistled. I was sitting there in amazement. She was literally a barbie. A person tapped me by the shoulder and said, "You have competition now. She looks more perfect then you."
I turned toward the person. She leaned back in her seat and shrugged her shoulders and said, "It's true."
I gave her a fake smile and turned around. Those people make mean popular people. I don't want to be one of those. I don't want to be known as a mean person. "Spencer."
I looked up and the teacher said, "Would you please show Ms. Morse around the school?" "Umm." "I can do it."
I looked at Eric. He looked back at me and glared. Why did he glare at me? Wait. That was the girl he was meeting up with. She's the mystery girl!
I went to my car and that Claire girl was with Eric, and the scenery was not pretty. They were close and very flirtatious. Worse they were on the hood of my car.
I went up to the driver's door and leaned against it and cleared my throat.
Their conversation stopped and I said, "My car. Get off. Now." Claire giggled and said, "You're right, she is childish." That made me pissed for some reason. I didn't show it though.
I pulled off my best smile and said, "Look. There is no one that has been that rude to me, and I don't think you want me to mark you on my enemy list." "An enemy list is just really immature. Anyways, what's your name?"
Did she just ask me that question?
I crossed my arms and said, "Spencer, Spencer Calder." Someone wrapped their arms around me and said, "Hey, what's going on here?" "Ms. Perfect thinks she could just say whatever she wants to me."
He glanced up at her and he became shaky. He cleared his throat and said, "I don't think theirs a problem with speaking you thoughts. I mean this is America. You can speak what you want."
That surprised me. I turned facing him and glared at him and giving a look of disgust.
"Looks, like Ms. Popular is loosing everyone today." I glared back at her and I wanted to cry, but I needed to hold it in.
I slammed my car door shut. She sat on the hood of my car and started to flirt with Harry. He seemed to like it. Who does she think she is?
I backed up the car and she slipped off the hood and onto the ground. I didn't want to see how she was after the fall, so I just drove off. What I did see though in a glance, was Harry staring at me in disappointment and anger.
I kept driving. I finally pulled up to the beach and got out of the car, and I started to burst into tears.
I couldn't handle this world. There were always girls popping up wanting to take Harry. Why did I have to fall so much for him? This world is seriously pushing the limits to our love. I don't even know what to call it now.
My phone rang and it was Harry. I ignored it and let it ring. I didn't want to deal with anyone right now. I wanted to just be alone.
I ran up the stairs and laid on my bed. I just stared up at the ceiling. Someone came in, but I didn't notice until they stuck their head over me.
"Spence. Why did you do that?" I rolled my eyes. I didn't want to talk to him.
"I needed to go and she just happened to be on my hood." He rolled his eyes and said, "You knew that would've done something really bad if it wasn't for Harry catching her right?"
That caught my attention. Of course Harry would catch her. Of course, that little bitch needed a prince charming to catch her.
"Spence." I looked at him and said, "I know you think that she's bad, but I can tell you that she's a good person. You just need to get to know her." "What? She told you she was a lesbian?"
He groaned and sat up right on my bed. "Look, I know she didn't start with the right foot with you, but I seriously think that you should be nice to her." He looked up with a look that made me want to clap him for being so sorry for her.
"Look, I don't want to be mean. I want to be nice, but it's just that--" "They hit on your boyfriend? Is that's what all this is about?" He sighed and said, "Look, the girls like hot guys. I'm not saying that as my perspective of him, but I'm saying that you need to accept that girls will be hitting on Harry, and if you haven't noticed, he hasn't been cheating on you the whole relationship."
I looked up at him for that and he said, "Except that one time, but that was literally rape. Kate wanted to make you jealous and raped him. Get over it."
I looked away and said, "Someone should report that."
I looked back at him and he was nodding his head saying, "Spencer. This is serious. With that she could be brought to jail for a long time, and that could ruin her career."
I smiled and said, "That what she earns right? I mean she did ruin my life."
"Revenge is not the solution and that is over the top. She doesn't earn that." "Or does she?" I looked out the window. I didn't know what to expect, but I just stared blankly out while Eric was just preaching me about something.
I wonder if Harry even loves me like he told me he does, but how would I know the answer to that? "Spencer, are you even listening?" That snapped me out.
"Yeah." "No. What did I say?" "Revenge is not the option." He sighed and said, "This is serious." "Yeah. I'm being serious too. I know what to do. This is something that needs to be reported." "No it doesn't. We don't know the whole story. So, we can't tell if Harry was even telling the truth."
Come to think of it, he didn't tell me the whole story.
"Look, I know your his first love, but you can't treat him like River. River is a total different person from Harry." "How do you know that?" There was silence. He doesn't know River like I knew him.
I stared into Eric and said, "Have you ever heard of the term history repeats itself?" "Yeah, but it's not a true fact." "Well, my life is a true fact and history is repeating itself." "What are you trying to say?"
I looked at him and he got it right away. "River and Harry are..." I nodded my head and he shut his mouth.
"I'm sorry. Why didn't you tell me that River--" "Cause I knew that you would report him." "Who did he do it--" "Kate did it to him, just like she did it to Harry." Silence.
"You should've told--" "Who? Because right then no one cared about me except three people as I remembered. My family didn't even cared if I existed. My parents were never home. I don't get calls from grandparents or aunts, uncles and cousins. My sister was one of my bullies. Who could I have told that would do nothing and just comfort me on what I was going through?" Silence.
"Answer me!" "I don't know."
I took a deep breath and said, "Exactly."
