I came out of the car hoping that it was just an act and that a homeless person was just sleeping on the sidewalk as a nap, but no, it was young boy. I looked at him and saw that he was Jack's cousin. They were really close. I've only met him twice, but we knew each other pretty well also.
I looked at Harry and he shrugged his shoulders saying, "I didn't see it happen, but Josie is over there talking on the phone with his mother."
I looked over at Josie and I couldn't help but to feel extremely sorry for all the people that she lost in the last few days. I just hope that Jack's cousin won't die. Too many people dying is a bad thing.
I went through the crowd and I saw a hand move. I snatched up toward a girl, but I pushed her out of the way. He started to shake and then he was still again. I looked around and everyone started to back away from him.
I bent down to check his pulse, but before I could reach him he snapped up and grabbed my hand. I gasped and sat back on the concrete.
Harry came up to me and wrapped me in his arms. I looked at him and he said, "I think you should wait for the professionals." I nodded and got up. I felt so stupid to have done that. He might've been dead, and I could've gotten infected somehow.
I looked at Josie was again and he looked at me with concern and hurt.
I looked at Harry and he had his eyes fixed on Jack's cousin. I hugged him and buried my face into his chest.
I woke up hoping that I wouldn't have to deal with anything serious as the past few days. I looked at my alarm and I was early. Way too early.
I walked slowly to the shower and turned the water on to heat up. I went back out and saw that on the calendar it said that today was exam day. Then after this week, graduation. Finally.
I got college applications and I chose Princeton. Harry was going to tryout for this TV show thingy called the X Factor and so was the rest of his friends.
I got into the shower and cleansed myself. I felt like the hot water was washing away my worries, but when I stepped out into the cold crisp air, the worries flooded back into my head.
I looked at the clock and only five minutes past.
I went and blow dried my hair and then straightened it. I put my makeup on and put a knit headband to pull my hair back in which I put into a ponytail.
I took my time to pick out my clothes, but ended up wearing a white sweater with a pair of light washed jeans with rolled cuffs and white converses.
I looked at my phone and I got a text from Louis while I was choosing clothes. I opened it and it read, "I see that your light is on. Your sister isn't up yet and I need to talk to you now."
I went downstairs and opened the door to be facing Louis in sweats and a just woke up morning face. "How are girls always looking so perfect even at this hour of the morning." "Make up magic. You should try it some time if you're brave enough."
He chuckled and said, "I need to talk to you about your sister and me. We aren't working out. This so called relationship isn't working out. I mean me and her haven't even kissed." "That means you're just taking things slow." "Or she's not into me." "Why is it her fault?" "I wanted to kiss her--" "I'm a female and we're talking about my sister. I don't want to hear this."
He moved over into the family room couch and sat down. He sighed and said, "I'm just worried that I might break her heart if I do what I think is right."
I sat down on the seat next to his and said, "She really likes you." "Yeah, I'm starting to think I have mixed feelings for her." "So, the male species do have mixed emotions in their cold blooded hearts."
He glared and then smirked at me saying, "Shut it. Don't tell anyone, and did you find out who also is trying out for--" "X Factor? Yeah, Harry, Niall, Louis, and Zayn are all trying out."
He smiled and then looked out. My stomach grumbled and I excused myself.
I looked into the cabinet in the kitchen and found a bowl and then cereal and then milk. I came back and he was still there. "You want some?" He shook his hand.
I sat back down and said, "You know, you don't have to be so secretive about all this. You can just--" "I gave her a promise ring three days ago." "Oh." "Yeah, oh." "The struggle is real. The struggle is real."
I put a spoon full of cereal in my mouth and ate it while he was just blankly staring at nothing.
When I finished I got up and looked at the time and only a hour passed by. My phone started to ring and I answered it.
"Hello?" "Hey Spence, this is River." I hung up right away. I didn't want to talk to him right now. I don't care if he changed or not.
My phone rang again and I answer it saying, "I don't want to talk to you right now. Got it? Just--" "Spence this is Harry. Who were you talking to?" I shut my mouth and said, "River. Anyways, what's up?" "Open your door, I'm right outside."
I hung the phone up and went to open the door. Louis pulled me back and said, "Who is it?"
I looked at him and gave him a look saying, "Harry, who else?" He looked uneasy and went back to the couch. I opened the door and Harry barged in saying, "Did he do it yet?" "Who did what?"
He put his hand through his hair and said, "Did Louis--" "I'm right here Harry."
Harry shot a look at him and said, "I know you're here. I saw your car, but did you do it yet?" "No. I'm still debating." "Don't do it. It'll only make matter worse. Too many people are loosing people and Eleanor is the last of our worries right now."
Tension was growing in between them. I took a step back and felt awkward as hell.
I looked at Harry and said, "Can I talk to you?" He went over to me and said, "Now isn't the best time to talk. I want to talk to you too. Just at a different time."
I nodded and he went over to Louis to talk to him about something.
I looked over at the stairs and my sister was awake. It was probably from all the commotion that's been happening down here. I made a face for her to stay where she was. Gladly she listened to me and sat on the stair case.
I looked back at Harry and he was busy talking to Louis. I went to the kitchen and my sister followed.
I made some tea and she sat herself on top of the counter. She whispered, "Is Louis wanting to break up with me?" I shot my head towards her and smiled whispering, "He has mixed feelings." "That's girl talk. Seriously. Tell me the truth."
"She is." We both shot our heads at Louis and Harry at the doorpost. I gulped and she did the same. "I only told her--" "I heard everything. I saw her go down the stairs. I'm not that deaf."
I glared at her and went back to making my tea.
"Spence, this is the time I need to talk to you. So, everyone please get out." Louis escorted Eleanor out and I had a gut feeling that the Calder's are going to be heartbroken tonight.
I didn't look at Harry once ever since they left. It's been six minutes, and throughout the whole time it's been quiet.
"Spencer." I stiffened when he said my name. I looked into my tea like it was a swirling galaxy and my hands started to shake.
Two big hands were placed on top of them and I stiffened. He rested his head on my shoulder and said, "Lift the weight that's on your shoulders. You don't have to worry about anything. There isn't one problem that you need to worry about." "Well there's one less problem that I need to worry about in a few minutes."
I turned around toward him and we were only inches away. He was hovering over me with his tall figure and I felt as if I was a dwarf.
"Please just get it over with." "Get what over with?" "Aren't you going to break up with me or something along those lines?"
He chuckled and said, "Why would I do that?" "Well everything that you've been doing has been signaling that. So, why wouldn't I think of that?" "Because I came here to let you know that you have nothing to worry about when I'm gone because you'll always be in my heart every song I sing. They'll all be for you."
I bit my lip and said, "Which song did you chose for your audition?" "Isn't She Lovely."
I smiled and said, "Sing it."
