5 hours earlier....
"And, where exactly did the American Revolution end?" I rolled my eyes, watching the hands shoot up into the air. This stuff was simple!
I felt a small piece of paper hit my face, jerking my head towards the one who threw it. I looked at Skyler, who sat a few rows away.
"What do you think of the new kid?" I heard her voice bounce around my head. I winced. One problem with having you half- sister in your head; she could be a bit too loud.
"Keep it down! Your gonna make my head explode," she rolled her eyes.
"But seriously Noah, what do you think of her," she asked, a little bit more quite. I shrugged.
"Don't know. She looks pretty normal. Except for the tattoos, those are a bit suspicious," I said. I could see her thinking. A sort of cloud came into her eyes when she was really working on something.
"Doesn't she have Theater with us later?" I nodded.
"Maybe we could introduce ourselves!" she shook her head.
"Noah, are you crazy? You want to waltz up to some random kid and say "Hey! My name is Noah! I can talk to my sister through my head. Oh and also, my dad is the god of Healing, Archery, etcetera, etcetra..." Just think how stupid you'd sound," Skyler exclaimed. I shot a glare at her from across the room.
"It sounded better in my head."
"I am in your head Noah. And it didn't sound any better." I stuck out my tongue at her, giggling. She was said to be the wiser one, with being older. Yet, she could be quite childish.
"Hey Sky. How do you do it?"
"Act so calm. I mean, you just know everything. You have a solution to every problem. How do you do that?"
She shrugged. "I don't know everything Noah. I just act like I do. I guess I just go with my gut instinct," she said. I nodded, understanding where she was coming from.
"Noah?" I quickly looked up at the teacher, who was staring at me. Mr. Avox was smiling. I sunk lower into my desk, shooting a quick look at Skyler. She was smirking.
"Haha, you're in trouble," I heard her snicker. I gulped, looking back at Mr. Avox.
"Well Noah?" he asked.
"I didn't hear the question sir," he smirked.
"No, you didn't." he turned to Skyler. "Skyler, Noah, please come into the hall. We need to have a talk," Skyler's face was drained of blood as she stood, walking over to the door. I followed, with Mr. Avox right behind me. We entered the hall and he closed the door behind him.
"I'm sorry sir, I wasn't paying attention." I said, shuffling my feet. Skyler stood still, not saying a word. Mr. Avox smiled.
"I don't mind. As long as you two are talking through your heads, everything's fine." Skyler nodded. After all, Mr. Avox was just like us.
"Sorry Avox. We were talking about the new girl," Skyler explained. Avox chuckled.
"My sister seems to be the center of attention lately. Well, when you see her, introduce yourselves. But, try and leave out the telepathic convos part." we both nodded. He smiled and went back into the room. I felt Skyler punch my arm.
"I told you so." I smiled. Oh, the joys of being a Demigod.
