26. Chapter 26

Bella took a sip of her coke as she gazed upon the guy in front of her. He was so perfect in so many ways she didn't know where to start. Liam had ended up taking her to a small bar, the place was rustic but there a vibe to it, one that made her feel comfortable. There were plenty of tables around and a small space to dance in the centre with looked upon the live band that were playing on stage. She hadn't been here before but she already loved the place, it was charming yet had that urban rock vibe to it, it was just the place she would have imagined Liam coming to. Judging by the amount of people that waved at him and were paying them attention she figured this was definitely a local of his.

"So, what do you think?" he asked her once she finished her meal, yep they even did food here. "That's probably the best burger I have ever eaten!" she told him, grabbing some of his leftover fries.

"You think that's good, you should try the ribs, Jake's famous for them."

"Who's Jake?"

"Oh he's the chef," noticing how shy he seemed all of a sudden.

"How long have you been coming here?" she asked him. Liam gazed at her intensely before answering, "A few years now. I got my first job here," he smiled proudly which she found adorable.

"Yeah, cleaning toilets. It was a dream come true," he boasted making them both laugh. "No wonder you're so liked," she joked.

"Yeah, i'm sorry if they keep staring," noticing him blush a little. "I've uh, never brought a girl here before," he admitted. Bella's  her face suddenly growing serious.

"Ever?" Bella asked, a little surprised.

He just nodded his head and held her hand in his, she could feel herself blushing as they both shared a smile, how did she get so lucky?

The music in the background suddenly came to a stop gaining both of their attentions. The guy behind the mic changed over guitars and began playing a much slower song. Bella had never heard the song before and wondered if maybe he had written the song himself, she instantly fell in love with it. A few couples had now risen from their tables and began dancing in the middle of the floor. Her eye caught one couple in particular, they both looked to be in their late forties and  the way they were looking at each other made her smile. They looked so in love. She had completely forgotten where she was for a second and didn't realise that Liam was watching her with a smile of his own.

"Would you like to dance?" she heard him whisper in her ear, his warm breath sweeping across her ear and neck. She felt her cheeks growing hotter when he took hold of her hand and walked towards the middle of the room, gently dragging her with him. When they reached the floor, Liam pulled Bella close to him and smiled at her again. She instantly wrapped her arms around his neck and allowed him to sway her to the music. She felt his hand starting to play with the end of her curls just like she knew he would, their eye contact never breaking for a second.

Taking a glance around the room, Bella quickly noticed that almost everyone at the bar was staring at them. Even the lead singer on stage seemed to be watching them. Either that or she was being incredibly paranoid.

"Don't worry," Liam whispered in her ear. "It's probably been a while since they've seen a girl as beautiful as you," his lips slowly trailing against her neck. Suddenly everything around her was forgotten as soon as he kissed her. She wasn't even sure if they were still dancing, all she could feel was his lips. At first he was slow and gentle and then it became more and more passionate.

The song was over way to soon as was their kiss and Liam was now leading her back to their table when they were suddenly cut off.

"Liam man, how you been?" Noticing it to be the singer that was on the stage. "Hey man, good to see ya," Liam smiled both of them sharing a guy hug.

"It's been a while," the guy said, patting Liam on the arm. "Yeah I know, how's things been?"

"Great, got a few gigs here and there so we've all been practising our asses off lately."

"That's awesome man!"

"Thanks. So, who is this beautiful lady?" he asked, smiling over at her.

"Oh Bella, this is- "

"Trey," the guy interrupted, blocking Liam out of the way which only made him roll his eyes and quietly laugh. "Nice to finally meet you," he winked and shook her hand. Finally? She smiled at him and chuckled, "Nice to meet you too."

"So you and Liam huh?" wagging his eyebrows up and down making her laugh. "Well, it's about time if you ask me."

"No one's asking you," Liam butted in and wrapped his arms around her.

"You know if you ever get tired of this guy over here, i'm always available," he winked again feeling Liam tense up.

"I'm good thanks," looking up at Liam and giving him a quick kiss. "Wow, I feel so rejected," Trey said, holding his heart dramatically making them all laugh.

"So seriously, what did you think of the song?" Trey asked her.

"It was beautiful, did you write it?"

"You bet I did sweetheart. Speaking of," he turned to Liam " We know you're busy and I really hate to drag you away, but me and the guys were wondering if you would join us for a song?"

"Not tonight man, but thanks."

"Come on, if you want to impress her now's your chance," he whispered, making sure she could still hear.

"Liam, it's ok I don't mind," she turned to him.

"You sure?" he asked, a little surprised.

"Of course," she smiled. "I love hearing you sing."

"That settles it then," Trey clapped his hands together before placing one of her hands in his, "It was a pleasure meeting you Bella, make sure he brings you by more often," he told her with a  genuine smile.

"I'll see that he does," she smiled back and watched him walk back on stage.

"Sorry, I should have warned you about Trey," Liam said, holding her tighter in his embrace.

"No, he's great."

"You sure you don't mind this?"

"Are you kidding? Dinner and a show all in one night, i'm a lucky girl!" she exclaimed making him laugh at her. He leaned his head down to whisper in her ear, "Well, it dosen't end there," placing a small kiss just under her earlobe.

"Really?" Breathing in that amazing smell of his, making her legs feel slightly wobbly, "What else have you got planned?"

"You'll find out later," and with that he kissed her. "I'll be right back."

She watched him jump up on stage before walking back to their table waiting patiently for the band to start their song. She was so excited to hear him sing again!

"A lot of you know this guy Liam, so let's give him a big welcome back and hope he doesn't end up going home alone after this," he teased, sending a wink in her direction while the whole bar let out a big cheer. Bella laughed and watched as Liam came to the front of the stage before taking his shirt off to reveal a tight black tank top, she almost felt her mouth drop at the sight.

"Thank you, it's good to be back. This one is for you Princess," she blushed when she heard him announce her nickname and suddenly felt every single head turn in her direction. Suddenly the whole place was filled with the sound of the band's instruments and she felt a jolt of excitement rush through her.

I want it, I need it

I taste it, I breathe it

It fuels my aggression

And fuels all my questions

I cannot conceal it

It hits me, I feel it

It kills me, I bleed it

Now I believe it

I, I want it

I, I need it

I, I breathe it

You are the new drug

I, I want you

I, I need you

I, believe you

You are the new drug

I want it, I need it

I trust it, I breathe it

It fuels my aggression

And fuels all my questions

I cannot conceal it

It drives me, I feel it

It feels me, I need it

Now I believe it

I, I want it

I, I need it

I, I breathe it

You are the new drug

I, I want you

I, I need you

I believe you

You are the new drug

Don't hold your breath

Don't hold your breath

Don't hold your breath

Don't hold your breath

I, I want it

I, I need it

I, I breathe it

You are the new drug

I, I want you

I, I need you

I, believe you

You are the new drug

I want it

I need it

I bleed it

You are the new drug

I want it

I need it

I bleed it

You are the new drug

Throughout the whole song he would catch her glance and give her that grin of his making her smile back every time. Hearing him sing was having an enormous effect on her, the way he was moving to the music and raking his hands through his hair time to time was unbelievable sexy, she couldn't take her eyes off of him. She could feel herself smiling so much that a part of her wanted to jump up and down and scream "he's mine, he's mine". Of course that wouldn't be immature or anything...

When they finished the song the whole bar stood up and clapped including herself. He had a big grin on his face as they all took a bow. He jumped off the stage  and headed towards her. She practically jumped in his arms and kissed him with everything she had, not caring whatsoever that people were now whistling in their direction.

She laughed and looked up at him, "You were so amazing!"

"I'm glad you enjoyed it," he chuckled. "You ready for the next part of the evening?" Bella nodded excitedly, wondering how he could top this? They said their goodbye's and then headed back to Liam's car.

"How long have you been singing there?" she asked him once they started driving.

"Just a little while," he laughed like he just remembered something. "I was working one night and this band was playing at the time, I was going on saying how bad the guy sucked. So, Joe the manager, told me if I could sing better then him that I wouldn't have to clean any toilets for the rest of the night. Of course once they realised that I could actually sing it sort of turned into a weekly thing."

"The other guy was Trey wasn't it?"

"Yep," they both laughed at that.

"Thank you for taking me Liam. I had the best time," he turned his head to look at her and smiled.

"That place has been more of a home to me then my own ever was. I just, wanted to share that with you."

It meant so much to her hearing him say that. It was very rare for  Liam to open up, but when he did he showed this other side to him, a more vulnerable side that she wanted nothing more then to comfort. She took hold of his hand and squeezed it lovingly.

A few minutes later they pull up to what looked like a forest. She eyed Liam suspiciously wondering why he had brought her here of all places?

"Uh, Liam?"

"Hmm?" he turned to her, stopping the car and cutting the engine.

"Where are we?"

"You'll see," he said, getting out of the car and walking over to open her door. "Here, put this on." She looked up and found him holding up what looked to be a blindfold.

"Why?" she asked him, giving him a weird look not sure if she was completely ok with this.

"Don't worry, i'll keep you safe," he smiled at her but quickly noticed how nervous she looked.

"Hey," he stepped forwards and wrapped his arms around her waist. "You trust me?" Bella took in a deep breath and nodded her head, of course she trusted him.

He smiled at her once more before helping her put the blindfold on securely. She stood there and waited for him while she heard him rummaging around in his car. She heard him slam his door shut and then took her hand in his.

"Just hold onto my hand and follow me ok," he told her giving her hand a little squeeze. "Ok," she replied. "Don't let me fall."

He chuckled and held her closer, "I won't," he whispered in her ear.

They carried on walking for a few minutes until Liam told her to stop. "Ok, just stand here for a second," she said letting go of her hand.

"Where are you going!?" suddenly panicking thinking he was going to leave her alone. "I'll be right here," he chuckled again.

Bella listened to the sound of his footsteps, trying to hear what he was doing but couldn't for the life of her figure it out. She suddenly felt two hands on her arms and a warm breeze on the back of her neck making her whole body tingle. He kissed her deeply on the side of her neck and began to untie her blindfold.

"Open your eyes," he whispers in her ear dropping the blindfold away. Bella opened her eyes and almost gasped in surprise. They were standing in the middle of the woods that had a bridge to their right side with a small lake running underneath. There were small lanterns hanging from the tree in front of them and a few on the ground joined by a big blanket that was sprawled out. It looked like something you would see in a fairytale she thought as she took it all in.

"Liam," she started but found herself at a loss for words. "Do you like it?" She turned around to face him and smiled up at him, "It's beautiful. I feel like i've been here before," she told him looking around once more.

"You have, remember?" he said, looking her directly in the eye. "The night of the bonfire, we walked."

"And it started snowing," she added, the memory of that night rushing back to her. "And then we fell," she giggled making him laugh.

"I've been coming here ever since, whenever I need to get away from the rest of the world, I come here. This place just reminds me of you," he smiled, wrapping his arms around her. She could feel tears start to well up in her eyes, she couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"What's wrong?" he asked her, noticing her change in mood. "Nothing, I just can't believe you did all this."

He smiled at her again and stroked the side of her face, slowly decreasing the distance between them. His eyes slowly scanned down her body until they were fixed back up on her lips. She unconsciously licked her bottom lip and watched as desire appeared in his eyes. She let her hands slowly slide up his chest noticing his breathing growing faster along with the lust in his eyes. Unable to resist any longer he pulled her against him and started kissing her.

She felt like she was in her very own fairytale at that moment, kissing the perfect guy in a beautifully lit forest. It was almost too good to be true. The height difference between them soon disappeared as Liam slowly guided her down on the blanket and onto his lap.

"Here, put this on," shrugging his leather jacket off of him. "I'm ok," she told him, too busy to care about the cold right now. "The last thing I want is you sick, again" he said, wrapping his coat around her.

Bella chuckled lightly at the memory of their last time here, she had gone home and the next day awoke with a horrible cold.

"Oh, I uh, have something for you." She watched as he reached into his jacket that she had on and pulled out a semi long black box.

"Here," he smiled nervously before handing her the box. "Liam, this is too much," feeling bad that she had barely done anything for him.

"Well it's a good thing you're worth it then," he winked at her playfully making her blush. "Go on, open it."

She smiled shyly and opened the box to reveal a silver necklace with two small things attached to them. One was a small heart covered in diamond with a small lock in the middle and the other was a heart shaped key.

"Liam, it's beautiful," she smiled, admiring the piece of jewelry.

"It was my mother's," he told her making her look up in surprise. "This is the only thing I have left of her." She watched the expression on his face as he focused on the necklace.

"Liam, I can't take this," she shook her head, putting the necklace back in the box. "Yes you can," he stopped her, placing his hand on top of hers.

"No, this means too much to you."

"Yeah it does," he agreed with her, his thumb lightly tracing small circles on her hand. "That's why I want you to have it," he took the necklace out of the box before continuing. "My mother gave this to me when I was just a kid, she told me to give this to the girl that will one day hold my heart." He unlatched the necklace and placed it around her neck. "It belongs to you Bella. It always has."

Her heart was beating so fast as he stroked her cheek, she watched him as that look appeared on his face, that one look she could never figure out. Only for some reason now, it suddenly became clear to her.

"Bella, I need you to know how much I care about you," he started saying, tightening his grip on her. "I know you have your doubts about it and it's ok. After everything you've been through, I don't blame you for being cautious. But you gotta know, there is no other girl I want but you. I don't care how corny it sounds but, i'm all in Bella, you can trust me, I won't hurt you, " he assures her. "I love you."

That was it, the look she had spent countless times trying to figure out. How could she have not realised it before? It was love.

"I love you too, so much," her voice a little shaky. Who would have thought that love could feel this intense! She leaned forward and cupped his face. "I do trust you," she whispered before closing the distance between them.

They kissed, slowly at first, but then it gradually deepened, growing more and more intense. She let one hand travel down his covered chest , feeling all of his definition while letting the other hand curl up into his hair, tugging at it gently. Liam turned them around, lying her gently on the blanket, still managing to keep their lips locked together.

His mouth journeyed down her neck, kissing and sucking tenderly on her skin earning him moans of pleasure. He wrapped his arms around her, capturing her lips in another passionate kiss. She could feel his need for her growing as he pushed himself against her. She knew that one of them needed to stop before they went any further , but she didn't want him to! He brought one hand up to caress her face, while the other glided down her thigh, wrapping it around his waist.

They were both breathing harder now, both wanting each other as much as the other. His lips began trailing kisses along her jaw making her moan again in pleasure. She allowed his other hand to glide across her bare leg, slowly snaking it further up until he reached the fabric of her dress. Her body was heating up by the minute and she knew exactly where this was going, she had never felt this way before and honestly, she liked it. She felt so guilty for not believing Liam's feelings for her were true, but she didn't want to anymore. Even if it didn't make sense to her, Liam loved her and this time she was going to remember that.

Liam's hand was still resting on her thigh, she knew he was trying to hold himself back. She tightened her leg around him and pushed her body against his to let him know it was ok. He moaned against her skin as she did and felt his hand tighten against her thigh.

"Bella," he breathed out with a slight warning to his voice, she knew he was trying his best to control himself  and she knew she was pushing it a little but she wasn't so sure if she wanted to stop this time?

She ran her hands through his hair and pulled his lips towards hers. He took this as permission to go further as she felt his hand creep under the material of her dress, slowly etching his way further up until his finger reached the hem of her underwear. He wrapped her leg further around his waist as he grazed his hand up her upper thigh, her breathing increasing faster. She bravely slid her hands down his chest, going lower until she reached his belt buckle when she  felt him suddenly tense and stopped kissing her.

"Bella, don't," he whispered, taking her hand in his. "What's wrong?" she asked him, wondering if she had done something wrong.

"I won't be able to stop if you do that," he told her softly not missing the lust still in his eyes as he gazed down at her.

"Then don't," she grinned, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"You don't mean that," he frowned slightly. She suddenly felt very embarrassed, "I don't want to?"

"Of course I do," he told her a little surprised. "You have no idea how much I want to," he smiled suggestively making her cheeks burn up. "But, your first time should be special Bella."

"This is special," she smiled, stroking his hair back and watching as he watched her with a small smile. "Not outside in the cold with stones and twigs digging into your back. I thought you wanted to wait?" he asked her, watching her carefully.

"I do, I mean I did. I just..." she trailed off not sure on how to answer. To be honest she didn't know what she wanted, she did want to wait but Liam could make her feel so special and she always told herself that she would be in love when she was ready and she was. She had never so sure before and she was positive that she wanted Liam to be her first, it was the most sacred thing she had to give to him.

"I want you to be my first Liam," she told him feeling his eyes burning into hers. He lightly stroked her hair and leaned down to kiss her gently on the lips. "I want to be your first too. I know you think you're ready but I want you to be completely sure of it. It should be more then this Bella, I want you to be able to look back and have no regrets. If after tonight you're still sure then ok. I'll do whatever you want me to," he smiled seductively.

She felt her face flush with embarrassment. "I'm sorry, I'm so embarrassed," she whispered, unable to look him in the eye.

"Don't be," he smiled down at her kissing her again. "Do you have any idea how much you're making me want you right now?" he grinned wickedly making her blush even more then she already was.

"Come on Princess, we better get home before we both freeze to death," feeling his weight being lifted off of her now noticing the cold. He held out his hands for her to take and pulls her up. She stood on her tiptoes and kissed him one last time which he gladly responded to.

"Thank you Liam. I won't ever forget this night. And I love the necklace, I promise i'll take good care of it." He smiled down at her and cupped her face in his hands, "You're too cute you know that." They both kissed for a few more minutes before heading back to Liam's car.
