7. Check It Out

Chapter 7: Check It Out

Kendall's P.O.V:

"Hi" Brody said into his phone, holding it in the air so you can see the pool and both Brody and I. We got back to London two days ago and in those two days we've spent time with our families and just stayed on the down low. However we were all actually really missing each other so our parents decided to surprise us. They BOUGHT a huge mansion outside of Wales that has loads of room. Every family chipped in a little amount of money which means whenever we want we can go there for a holiday and we don't have to worry about anything. There's a room for everyone plus spares and a huge pool/garden.

The house is something you see out of teen cribs, made from loads of different bricks/materials and the inside is huge. It starts off with a large hallway with two archways leading to the kitchen and the other leading to the living room area. Both rooms are huge and probably the size of the grand floor of a normal house. There's a spiral stair case leading to the second floor where the parents rooms are, then another spiral staircase to the third floor where the kids rooms and the spare rooms are. There's a basement that is a game room with the floor made completely out of trampolines. Around the walls are pretty big ledges that you have to jump onto where there's a TV and recliners, old arcade games and a refreshment area. That room is strictly for kids and the adults have the loft area which has been converted into an adult room with a movie theater, refreshment stands, poker table, black jack table and other gambling set ups that the men like. The women have other stuff that is french and I didn't even know existed.

The garden is huge with two basket ball courts, tennis courts, a mini football pitch and a large pool with a hot tub. There's a summer house for the women and a golf course behind the woods for the men. With the pool came loads of inflatables that have blown up and sprawled around the place for us to occupy ourselves while the adults go and do their own things.

It's pretty crazy, not the house or anything but the fact that Brody, Jackson, Zack, Katy and I have become so close over a couple months and we couldn't go three days without complaining. We've become siblings really and our families have become really close too.

So yeah, the dad's and the guys have gone to play golf while the mums and the girlfriends have gone up to the loft to watch rom-coms. Jackson, Brody and I had gotten changed into swimming costumes half an hour ago and both of the boys had gone straight into the pool while I put a cardigan over the top of the white bikini I'm wearing, tied my hair into a ponytail and put in my headphones, engrossing myself in 'The Fault Of Our Stars' for the sixth time. Two minutes ago I got up, put my phone and book done before Brody decided to make a video showing our 'all too fabulous life'.

"So today we found out that our parents got a mansion pretty much for us all too share" Brody continued, moving some hair from his forehead. "Check it out"

He moved the phone so you could see about half the house before moving it up more to show the top. Then he panned the camera back to us.

"So yeah" He shrugged.

"Brody wanted to make this video because he wants to boost" I said.

"About what exactly?" Brody said quickly turning his head to me before he pursed his lips together knowing I'll say a sassy reply. "Don't answer that."

I laughed and we both turned back to the camera. "Actually we both decided to make a video because we have nothing better to do with our time!" We both held our thumbs up in a sarcastic way with a weird smile.

"Kids, come on dinner" Brody's mum, Jane, said walking onto the deck wiping her hands with a dish cloth.

"Coming" We all said at the same time, swimming to the end of the pool. I pulled myself out of the water and grabbed my black towel, roughly drying my body before pulling on my cardigan and using the towel to get most of the water out of my ponytail. Katy jumped onto my back as I started walking into the house, making me stumble a little before gaining my balance and carrying her indoors. The 'men' were still out so it's just us kids and the women. On the island was lots of different snacks like sandwiches and the pasta pots you heat up. There were also crisps and biscuits, all of those things most kids aren't allowed to eat for dinner.

"We didn't make a full on meal because we thought you would be tired after all the driving and everything." Jane said as I picked up a sandwich and started eating.

"Thank you" We all said through our food, most of it gone as we stuffed it into our mouths.

Jane chuckled and shook her head. "There's some pretty good movies on if you kids want to go down to the basement after you eat. I would stay out of the pool for the evening if I were you"

"And GO!" Brody shouted from the other side of the room. Jackson, Zack and I started back flipping from one end of the room to the other, using the trampoline flooring to give us more height and time to flip. Jackson fell halfway through before catching up again, making it a three way tie at the end.

"That's going on Twitter" Katy grinned, typing away on her phone.

Until midnight we ended up making videos in the basement before falling asleep on the trampolines only to be picked up by our dads and carried up to our rooms.

"G'night Baby Girl" I heard before my hair was pushed from my forehead and Dad kissed my forehead.

"Good night Dad" I yawned, cuddling closer into the covers. I opened one eye and smiled up at him. "Thank you."

He smiled and moved some hair from his face. "Anything for you kids Baby Girl. I'm so proud of you"

He stood up and made his way to the door, stepping over my suitcase on his way.

"I love you Dad" I said sleepily making him turn round with his hand on the door knob.

"I love you too Kendall"
