3. Meredith: University
The best place you could ever imagine is University. You never think that you’re going to make it to the Ivy League and then, when you do, you can’t believe the luck that you’re having. You think that it couldn’t possibly be you whose been picked to go there and then you wonder why on Earth they picked you out of all of the more qualified candidates.
The best thing about University is not the fact that at the beginning you get to join societies or the fact that you wake up with a two-day hangover on the Monday morning, having no idea who the boy is who you just got a missed call from. The nest thing about University, is the company. You meet the best people at Uni and I’m not just saying that because I have the best best friend the world has ever seen, or the fact that she is looking over my shoulder as I write this, but because the people you meet at University are the ones that you are going to be friends with for the rest of your life.
I’m probably writing this because I have feelings for the guy that I met earlier, but that’s cause he was hot and older than me, but there is no way that I can go out with him because he also happens to be Lucy’s older brother. I do hope she didn’t just read that. Anyway, I’m actually meant to be writing an essay about modern living at the moment. It started off as that and then I started to talk about how much I like Lucy’s brother. Gosh, I do hope she’s not reading this. That would be just like Lucy, trying to read over my shoulder. Now Peter’s trying to do it. Seriously, it’s not even like I’m meant to be writing any of this stuff. Never mind, I’ll save all of the true stuff for my next essay. Do you know what, the best and the truest thing that I have ever told anyone is that it doesn’t matter where you come from: it matters where you go – no one gets remembered for the things they didn’t do. I think that might get me a C-.
