Devon immediately shouted, "FLOOR IT!" The buses picked up speed really fast.
"Drew was on that bus." I mumbled under my breath.
"Sorry for your loss man." Devon said with his hand on my shoulder. "Coltons group must've gotten here quicker than we thought. And it seems they have better weapons that we thought like the RPG they used to blow up bus five. I figured they used some kind of motorized vehicle to get to us that quick. At the old military base in Colorado we will ambush Coltons group if they do come, but I know for a fact that he has more people on his team than we think." Devon said.
"Sounds good to me." I said sadly because of what happened to Drew.
The bus ride was long but it gave me a good time to rest up. Devon woke me up and said, " We will be there in thirty minutes but I'm going to call the five people on my team that are already there and ask them if the base is ready for us." Devon grabbed a walkie talkie and said into it, " Is the base ready and in tact?"
The person in the walkie talkie said, "Do not come here I repeat do not come here!Coltons group is here!" You could hear a lot gunfire in the background.
Devon turned to me, looked me straight in the eye and said,"Listen, I'm going to take my men and I and we are going to advance into battle and kill every person in Coltons group. As for you I want you and Kegan and Noah to go send a beacon to the military and tell them to send help.
"I don't know if I can do that Devon. Where is it even located?" I said.
"The beacon is in Los Angeles, California. I will have you get escorted by one of my men in a helicopter."
"Devon, I can't do this, I tried camping in a big city and it resulted of losing one of my men." I said desperately.
Devon replied,"Logan, If you don't even try to get the beacon that means there may never be civilization on Earth again."
